Take the scenic route to St Augustine and go to Osteen's. http://www.osteensrestaurant.com/ It's not seafood but Taco Lu near you is awesome. http://www.tacolu.com/
This might be the dumbest shit you've ever said. If you don't like Osteen's, it's bc you don't like fried shrimp/fish.
I named 2 places that do it better, aren't an hour away in Anastasia Island & take fucking credit cards
All on the Intracoastal in Ponte Vedra: PV Fish Camp - Casual, but a little more refined menu Palm Valley Outdoors - more expensive than PVFC, not as good food/menu, but better outdoor bar Barbara Jeans - Casual Meat & 3 kinda location Lulu's Waterfront - Casual Fried Seafood Valley Smoke - BBQ - insane whiskey menu
I eat at plenty of low-brow places. I just don't go back to shitty, tourist trap restaurants like Osteens
Osteen's is more local than tourist. It's not Harry's. There's an hour wait in the middle of January bc it's damn good. Fried shrimp is just beneath you.
Harry's is a failed chain restaurant. I had fried shrimp at PVFC yesterday & it was delicious. Osteens is beneath me.
The old one was sooooooo good. That was our seafood spot before we moved. Not many ppl knew about it either.
Like I said, Osteens isn't foofoo enough for you. No frills 80's tables with plastic cups isn't up to your standards.
I need to get out there with the wife, as she's never been. Biggie's in Jax beach has been getting all our pizza love recently
If he asked, "I'm in the Jax area & traveling with a bus full of fussy toddlers," I would trust your palate to steer him in the right direction
We go to V's a lot, or Flask & Cannon. If you haven't been to Biggies, you need to try it... it's a real shithole, next to a laundromat. Right off 3rd at 13th St. N
Is that the place Portnoy reviewed when Barstool was there for their shitty UFC deal? I moved a couple months ago. Yea, Flask and Cannon is sweet.
Palm valley fish camp. Get the cheese grits. It's more upscale than what you talking about though, not by much. Also invite me bc it's near where I live and fish
Your idea of casual and everyone else's is different. PVFC isn't super fancy but it's not exactly super casual either.
Shorts, t-shirt & flip flops are typical attire there. Parts of the menu are more refined, but the core of their menu is fried fish/shrimp baskets
Since we are in here, I’d like to point out that PV fucking sucks. Especially the new money Nocatee people. Those people can go fuck themselves. $500K for a $200K house. Sorry if any of you live in there.
Jesus you are a fucking dolt dblplay1212 Off PVFC menu: Miller High Life - $2.50 Bud -$3.50 Bud Light $3.50 Miller Lite $3.50
The Miller lights are 3.50 sorry. Yes I said it was more upscale but not by much. They don't have buckets on the table, but they are catering to their clients in that area.
That's fair. It may be casual for the Sawgrass/Ponte Vedra area but most people wouldn't think of it as casual.
More like $500k for a $400k house with nice amenities and the best public schools in the state but I get your point.
