We never got the full Ryan Mallett experience, so sure why not.
I posted this same thing earlier. Eason is made for a spread offense because I don’t think he’s smart enough to run a pro style offense with the limited practice hours in college.
You could never tell it got next to them based on their reaction in this thread.
Have you watched him at all? He can make all the throws. He’s a good QB. I think it has more to do with the improvement of the OL and another year for Chubb to get healthy. Why throw a ton when you can grind people out and complement a good defense?
Its going to be tough for anyone to transfer into Michigan next season unless its a grad transfer who is just lights out. Even if Peters doesn't pan out like we think he will, there's still little McCaffery behind him who everyone thinks is going to be great. Obviously Harbaugh would be stupid to turn down Eason or Patterson, but I wouldn't go to Michigan if I was either of those guys.
Washington is really the perfect scenario with Browning being a senior next year. Sit out a year and then take over after he leaves.
Why is Shea Patterson expected to transfer?
Because Ole Miss is getting the death penalty.
What does that have to do with the fact that you are sitting here advocating for something that your fanbase roasted Saban for previously?
I'd love to see him in the Air-Raid but we've heard he's not interested in going there at all.
Can I get one more tear from you today?
So with all these 2016 pro style QB's shuffling around it would appear Ian Book is probably the best in the class.
Again, Saban didn’t want Maurice Smith.
Kirby would like nothing more than to see Eason stay.
If Fields doesn’t EE, we will be going through spring football with one scholarship QB.
This is such a poor troll.
Probably because it’s not a troll.
Pretty sure he played against Vandy. If he played after that, no because you cannot participate past the halfway point of the season. But if the new proposal that allows kids to participate in up to four games without using a season is able to be applied retroactively, he might not need one as I think he has only played in like 3 games so far
I’m convinced this is bait for T-Boone and not a real post
Oh got it. So because Saban (allegedly) didn't want a returning projected starter he was a horrible person for trying to prevent an intra-conference transfer, but because Kirby (allegedly) wants Eason to return, that makes it ok.
Glad we got this cleared up and can move on with the thread.
Nevermind Tate is not a pro style
Its because we are dominating teams in blowout fashion every game.
The only true conservative game was his first start on the road against a pretty decent ND defense. Since then, nothing really being held back. He's like the 3rd most efficient passed in the NCAAs.
In my totally serious world where I posted that Ian Book is the best Pro Style QB from the 2016 class Khalil Tate was listed as a dual threat qb.
Why no Miami?
Former coach probably
Why in the hell would you restrict a back up QBs transfer options?
I'm usually pro coach in these situations, but he's not going to start next year. Why do that to him?
Why are you making shit up? Mo Smith was set to start that season. He wasn't some end of the bench bum that was never going to see the field.
The only conservative gameplan was the gameplan that had him throw the ball more than he has in any other game all season, almost double his per game average on the season?
Bc you don't want to have to play against him. Perfectly reasonable to not allow him to transfer in conference or anyone on the schedule the next few years.
Its reasonable if the kid is a malcontent or avoiding legit competition. But if he's not going to be the starter, and he's a year ahead of the kid starting above him, you shouldn't be restricting where he can go.
If a player is not good enough to play for you, blocking his options because he might play against you isn't reasonable. It's stupid. Same with potentially blocking him from Miami because of Richt.
you big dummy, what was the tweet? such a silly goose
I wish they would change the rule. I wish it wasn't allowed. I'm just telling you why coaches coaches do it. For them, it makes sense to not play someone they spent time and money on training.
I'm not telling you old man
that's between me and Coach Leach
You and I can say it's not right but I can admit I'd do the same thing if allowed by the rules. Winning football games is their job. If it's within the rules, I don't blame them for doing it. Hopefully one day the rule is changed.
Ok I'm serious this time
Yeah, I understand the logic of blocking players in conference. And I agree with it more times than most people do. I'm saying that if a guy is not going to play (absent injury or suspension), and is unlikely to play throughout his career, its ridiculous to block him. This isn't a freshman upset he didn't beat out an upperclassman.
Kirby can block Eason all he wants. If Eason makes a fuss about it, the media backlash won't be worth it and Eason will get to go where he wants. UGA fans will defend it to the death and make Eason the bad guy because that's what every fan base does. A couple months will pass, the same situation will happen somewhere else, and the same result will take place. Rinse. Repeat.
You're being mean. GTFO MY GRASS! fucking kids these days
It'll be funny if they do cry about it after they cried about Saban doing the exact same thing to Mo Smith. Saban was the devil for blocking him from going to play for his former DC. His mom cried enough that Saban finally gave in to be done with it.
This. I don't think its' hard to understand why any of these coaches block as long as it is allowed. I just think its' hilarious to see fanbases waffle on their stance on this as it supports their agenda
Sure. Bama staff threw all of the stuff he had in his locker into the trash.
I know that’s how I treat people I want to stick around
But the tears taste as good today as they did well over a year ago
They cleaned his locker out after he said he wanted to transfer. Did you expect them to make it a shrine?
lol at your tears comment. You guys were the ones crying about it.
