Tbh I don’t mind taking a flier on Rashford. If it doesn’t work he’s gone in a few months. he hasn’t played for an above average manager in his entire career. Not surprised he isn’t killing it in training for the fraud they recently hired.
Any chance Watkins has of making a move has more to do with accountants & PSR, than anything on pitch - Regardless, I prefer Tel
can't get over the Rashford deal from Villa's perspective though maybe Unai can get something out of him
its dirt cheap with no long term risk if it doesnt work out gambling on a change of scenery is an easy call
lots of money to be paying every week with PSR issues (though Duran sale certainly helps), his head has been down a long time, he's not unseating Ramsey to start, and he doesn't fit with how Villa currently play (though I am sure Emery can change things up and play how Rashford as you all have played Bailey but on the left and have Malen play more inside right channel). guess he's the bench option at striker/left wing at 200-250 thousand a week? I hope for him it works out.
Villa have made £80,000,000 from the champions league so far, sold Duran for £75,000,000, Philogene for £20,000,000, and Diego Carlos for £10,000,000. No PSR issues. I think they’ll likely play rashford at one of the two forward spots. Rogers can play as a winger. I doubt Malen will start. Ramsey hasn’t been very good this year My lineup would be Martinez Cash konsa pau digne Mcginn tielemans kamara rogers Rashford Watkins have Ramsey, Onana, Bailey, malen, Barkley, Mings on the bench Pretty salty
Ben Jacobs is saying that’s the deal on the radio right now. Think it’s a good deal for all involved tbh
Yeah - will be fun to watch him play, even if it's for Spurs. I'm glad there doesn't appear to be any option or obligation & he'll be back in Germany in the summer. He's gonna be a good one
They kept playing games with us last summer. Moved the price or terms multiple times, per reports. Good player but hate that price.
He has a lot of hype and has shown plenty, but the price tag for him was too much to commit to based off what he’s done to date
Sure. Going to be interesting because I imagine Newcastle will offer a wage package that will be competitive. Personally, I think if they make Europe in any capacity he won’t force a move. His contract still has 3 years and he is treated like a god.
None of us really think we're going for him, or really think we should at the price necessary. We can dream though
Most of yall are realistic so it makes sense. Unfortunately because there’s a lot of dummies and a click hungry media, the story will linger until he signs a new deal or y’all buy one
