This was a very confusing JRE to follow. Corbell really got on my nerves in some spots. But Lazar took gold with the number of things he does and doesn't remember. I believe in UFO's and aliens. But dudes like this are so fucking annoying sometimes.

I don't know much about Lazar, this was the first time listening to him and I knew nothing about him coming into the podcast. I felt he was genuine and believable for the items he discussed. Granted those who follow this stuff closer may have a different view and i'm not knocking that. But as someone new to the topic he didn't come off like a mentally ill person.

Listened to the Duncan Trussell episode today. That dude is completely nuts, and I absolutely love listening to his crazy rants.

He says some pretty profound shit within all of his insanity. He seems like a guy who is intelligent but completely off his rocker at the same time if that makes any sense.

I'm only half way though, but...

I'm not saying he isn't, but what makes him full of shit? If...big if....there are aliens, and if our government somehow made contact with them, or came to possess alien aircraft, isn't this sort of how it would play out? Keep it secret, try to figure out he technology so we can use it, threaten and discredit anyone who comes out with the "truth", etc. If you buy into that idea, what about his story makes it obviously untrue?

Agree Corbell would interject things that no one outside of avid UFO followers, I'm guessing, would have any clue about and it made it difficult to follow. I don't find it particularly compelling that Lazar could not recall some details or dates from 35 years ago.

The obvious problem is that none of this can be confirmed, in any way really. Do I believe him? Eh, maybe. Is he a lunatic who has been lying about this for 35 years? Eh maybe. Now, if he had a stable piece of element 115, that's a game changer. If he does, why would he keep that secret? What's the point of teasing that?

But also...did the FBI really raid him? Seems a little fishy.

The NDT interview is hilarious. Joe immediately irritates Tyson with some stupidity(more than usual from him this episode, was kinda weird). Tyson then talked over him the entire rest of the interview and was pretty condescending (also more than normal). He ignored Joe and interrupted him repeatedly. He was kinda a dick. I enjoyed it.

Anyone listen to the Ed Calderon episode from back in May? Just started this morning and so far so good. He’s former police officer in Tijuana back in the years after 9/11 and he gets into the dynamics of the border and the cartels back then.

I hate when Joe jumps in the middle of a guest explaining something with some nonsense. Watching NDT now and Joe just went on a tangent about if "fishes" is a word. Like shut the fuck up and let him tell the god damn story, no one cares that much if it's fish or fishes, you are taking away from his point about why humanity exists because of the properties of water with some 3rd grade english lesson.

Then he does another annoying thing where he subtly, probably not even consciously, tries to sound smart. He's like, so a group of deer is deers?? NDT says well yes, if it's various types of deer. Joe responds, ohhhh so like Sitka deer, whitetails,

yes, we get it, you are a hunter, you know lots of types of deers. We don't need you to list all types of deer you know in order to understand the point.

I know (of) Ed and we’ve hung around each other a few times. Definitely don’t know him “very well”, but I know some of the guys he trains with really well. Ed is not full of shit, and would probably really enjoy this board except for he’s not really a big sports guy. He’s definitely a cut up—nothing is off topic with him either. I won’t say much else about him in the open because he’s either said it or doesn’t want it known.

If you like Ed’s page check out Tracker Dan (they are friends). At the time he was the oldest applicant ever allowed into BUDS. It took letters written by influential people vouching for his skill set that got him a shot to even apply. He learned his tracking skills from his mother and he’s been called in worldwide for what he can see when everyone else sees sticks, leaves, and dirt. He makes interesting knives as well...one of which Ed helped design. I believe I have one of the first 10 or so ever made of that pattern.

The rabbit hole goes pretty deep after that.

Wow, they had the episode taken down.

His explanation for saying that on Below the Belt was asinine. "Slinging dick" means "killing the game" to me bro. Just stupid. You could tell by the look on his face he fucked up, that's probably why the y took the video down.

His plan for if Bert had a heart attack was funny. He rattled it off like he’d already thought of it and drugged him anyway. And whoever said, “wipe the foam from his mouth and hold his phone up to his face” to get into it and delete the footage had me rolling.

Zero percentage chance he does it to Rogan in the same setting he did it to Bert.

I just don't get it. It's almost every episode that he (and some of his friends) are freaking out about SJW culture or not being able to tell jokes like they used to. Frankly, I've never found Rogans standup to be on the same level as some of colleagues. If we wipe away his very successful podcast. I would only know him Fear Factor, NewsRadio & the dude who called on Carlos M.

I agree with not ever really being into his stand up. He's been doing it for years, and has some respect among his peers though. he's not the only one making this argument about censorship and sjw, etc., he just does it more often and is more exposed than most others. It seems that comedy is one of the arenas that has always pushed societal norms. Comedians have been given very wide berths, and really not had any constraints put on them; nothing was off limits. You could make a joke about the most morally reprehensible thing you can think of, and if it's funny, it's funny, and that's that. When they see some limitations starting to be applied, they tend to push back.

He's probably one of the more recognizable faces in the MMA community as well. His podcast and the UFC is where most people know him from I think.
