I did. I listen to pretty much all the non comedian guests. Except for the cooky dude that believes in Atlantis or whatever.
Joe's a great interviewer and I love his guests. I also love the format. That said he's the smartest dumb guy in the world.
That's the thing with him. You can listen to one or two episodes within a few months and pretty much hear them all. He repeats himself all the time, and gets on little fads that are always the best thing at the moment.
We're pretty much the same then. I also listen to Art of Manliness podcast on the train when he doesn't get too hokey.
Although his obsessive personality makes him get way more hunting guests on and push the postivies of hunting and that lifestyle so I appreciate that
Although this Bert vs Tom thing is so hilarious. Hearing that people teaching English as a 2nd language were teaching kids to say "Bert is fat."
The story about Bert's friend's mom dying after being in hospice...wow. Bert comments on the post announcing that this lady had died with "I'm so sorry. I'll see you later today" and a fan of Tom's comments under that "I'm also really sorry. Did Bert sit on your mom?" dying
Yeah that had me in tears yesterday listening. Listened to most of part 2 this morning. Hoping I'll get to the rest after work at the gym. Their Daniel Tosh stories are great. Would love if Joe ever had him as a guest I rarely finish an entire JRE podcast, but definitely will w these two.
Joe does get very repetitive, but I couldn't imagine doing 3, 3 hour podcast a week and not repeating myself as well. His verity of quest is what keeps me coming back. I many times have it playing in the background when I'm at my office, while vaguely paying attention. I run a lot, so I throw some JRE on to mix it up from the same old music I typically listen to. Though it sucks when I have to slow down to laugh at something Joey Diaz blurted out.
I love joey on any of the pods. I always thought Schwab had a weird know it all takes on Rousey. I always got the impression he didnt care for her, while trying not to sound that way. Then I found out they dated, and it all made sense
Him and Aubrey Marcus are pretty much the only two consistent guests I auto skip because I don't really care for either of them.
I love Joey. This last one with him talking about the booger he ate. Said he had to take the gum out of his mouth to eat it. "It was like a coke booger. Took me back to the 80's"
I'm a big Tom Papa fan. Joe has been having him more frequently and their conversations flow like water.
sorry if already discussed but how bad is redban? Joe must really like him because he never contributes shit to any conversation, he gets fact checked a lot, and is just an overall bullshitter. I listened to the last one in the store basement with Redban and I'm sure he's a nice guy but definitely my least favorite recurring guest
When did Redban stop producing the show? I stopped listening for about a year and I think he was probably be phased out at that point. What's the new guys story?
I would say a year to a year and half. My guess is redban was getting more busy with comedy, doing other podcast, etc. I don't think he wanted to be committed to being the producer 3 days a week why exploring his own endeavors. There wasn't a bad split with him and Joe and that is why Joe brings him back as a guest. Young Jamey is strickly a guy that is really good a producing the show. He doesn't talk as much on the podcast like redban did, mostly just speaks when Joe speaks to him. He is really good at what he does and he has been coming out of his shell a bit more lately. This is all Jamey does so he can completely focus and be there when Joe needs him, including that random fight companion podcast. I'm enjoy redban and Joe's banter. They have an odd friendship yet it seems to work. Brings back the old days of the podcast, though I think what they have going now works best for all parties.
Leah Remini (some actress who was on King of Queens or some shit) is on the podcast right now and is talking Scientology and she's hit on Joe multiple times and he's doing pretty well with it.
She has some show about her 'escape' from Scientology. Haven't watched it, but after watching a few docs on it, and how crazy it is - That pod should be a good one.
Listening to the Leah Remini pod now. Corch wasn't lying. She was laying it on heavy w joe. Also the Scientologist stuff is nuts. Right out of 1984 playbook.
You should check out the show if you get a chance. Wife and I DVRd it and started watching it one weekend and couldn't stop. Jaw-dropping stuff.
Every time I see it on the guide, I always want to hit record, but the last thing I need is to pick up a reality show. After listening today, I probably will check it out. What's the premise? She just talks to people that recently left the church or whatever they call it?
He's had some great guests on the past 2 weeks. Not that Alex Jones is great, he's a POS. But it will be an interesting interview. I hope Rogan calls him out on his crazy bullshit instead of indulging Jones in Hillary conspiracy theories. I can see him doing either.
20 min in. Idk if I can stick this one out. It's a firehose of ridiculousness. Saying a huge group of dems are pedos, pizzagate was a false flag thing to cover it and Hillary stole 5 states in the election. Apparently he hates Megyn Kelly and thinks she looks like a tranny
Stuck with it. Ive never listened to much of Alex Jones outside of the clips you see. He is a legit crazy person. It's amazing
I made it about 30 minutes in. It was hard to listen to and when he started talking about hillary going to parties and drinking blood and sements, I had enough.
I listen at 2x speed so Im not sure exactly where it starts, but go to where there's about 2 hours left in the pod and stuff just gets bonkers. It's not political stuff. It's about aliens and other dimensions ect. I cant even describe in a way to do it justice. edit -- now he's on Obama. His mom was a CIA sex operative
There is an awesome conspiracy theory that says Alex Jones is actually Bill Hicks. In this theory, Hicks was being targeted by the global elite/illuminati for his growing popularity and willingness to speak out against the powers that be so he fakes his own death and became Alex Jones. Doesn't make much sense but it is hilarious. http://www.texasmonthly.com/the-dai...egendary-long-dead-texas-comedian-bill-hicks/
There's a scientology church like a block from me, I kinda want to go there once just to see what it's like after seeing Going Clear and listening to that Leah chick
