It takes a real cavalier attitude to be beilein on the Michigan Wolverines
Think he’s a great coach, but what a weird hire.
66 seems a little old to coach in the nba for the first time but what do i know
Ty lue come on down.
Not a lot that’s for sure!
#Michigan Wolverines #Cleveland Cavaliers #Ohio State Buckeyes #Michigan State Spartans
#Appalachian State Mountaineers
I’m sure Michigan will be fine.
kind of funny after all the Izzo to the Cavs rumors years ago
Hoiberg made his ass quit
mick cronin - "fuck"
I wonder how Ace Abender is handling the news
Knew he could never beat Izzo again.
Thinking about just getting a soup and sandwich delivered from Panera
And that was just the reaction to having to check the alert on his phone.
Sushi for me today
Why? You think Michigan would want to hire him? He somehow fall ass backwards into one new job, I don't think another program would be dumb enough to hire him.
Who is that?
Who are some realistic candidates?
And who does Michigan go after?
You, as much as anyone, should know taking a new job won't stop someone from taking another
He's really tired
Coach K, Roy Williams, Dean Smith, John Wooden.
Honestly I think we're all curious how we go about this search. You gotta think we at least kick the tires with Wright, Bennett, Beard, Few, etc, but maybe they don't want a culture shift and go with one of our assistants (or former) like Yaklich or LaVall Jordan.
Lavall Jordan was the one I thought of. I think he could be good, but would be pretty underwhelming hire based on other names you mentioned
Lavarr Ball IMO
I mean I think we're relevant enough to kick the tires of the big names, so a former assistant would definitely be underwhelming. Manuel hired Kevin Ollie from within when Calhoun retired at UConn, but that's literally all I know about his search there, so maybe it was the best hire, or maybe he preferred that approach.
Chris Beard made his ass quit
Id rather roll with yaklich than Jordan. Hopefully we throw 6mil+ a year at Chris beard though.
Careful, they may kick the tires on trying to hire him
I take back every thing negative I said about Dan Gilbert.
He just signed a 6 year extension, with a hefty buyout.
We’re shaking in our boots!
seems like fit to me, tough defense-minded, spent his whole life in and around ohio, wouldnt think michigan would want to stray too far from what they had with beilein
yeah but beard was still cheap, cronin is way too expensive now
Kicking the tires of the best coaches in the country is laughable? Cool..?
Oh I know, it's all sarcasm. I agree that Michigan is relevant, but relevant enough to go hire a top 5 paid coach in the country? HA
I mean, by all means you guys can try. I just think you're aiming a little far up the top paid coaches list
I didn't say we'd only go after those guys, but I think it's worth a phone call. Beard's new contract likely makes him a nonstarter, but who knows at this point.
