We’re like 5 posts from WED saying Julio really isn’t that good
I know you clearly haven't followed the Falcons nor his intra week status every weeks, but want to act like you did bc you look at total season stats, make up age reasons for practicing, or injury reports.
You can look at game logs to see the games he played in and clearly wasn't healthy. It was 3-4 per season. He rarely practiced bc he was legitimately consistently hurt or nursing nagging injuries
Don't be stupid.
I'm not pretending I followed the Falcons practice reports at all. I'm just saying that clearly the guy who regularly put up 1,400+ yards for years straight isn't as frail is you're making him out to be.
Titans 2021-22 record:
If he played 16 healthy games he'd break records. The fact is he doesn't.
Their defense is still pretty bad, isn't it?
Apparently he's really fucking good when not healthy, too. According to you he's always hurt but still puts up numbers.
As if Nashville isnt Chud City already lets go ahead and add the entire #Alabama Crimson Tide fanbase to the Titans fanbase
Well yea.. He's elite when banged up. When he's healthy he's pretty much unstoppable.
I’m just not a believer in Tannehill. He’s had two good seasons but I am in anticipation of the moment when he throws 3 ints in one game and the downward spiral starts.
pretty big sample size here
almost like he had shit coaching in miami
Eh. He's got 3-4 games a year he "plays" in and doesn't do much. Mainly bc he's hurt.
The games he's healthy he beasts for 150+ almost consistently.
One can see he's an elite talent, that just has injuries, and is getting older. If he was 29 and rarely hurt he'd get a 1st++.
It's funny non-falcon/ATL ppl commenting like he's never hurt
Tannehill is what he always has been. He's athletic, has a good arm, accurate, smart, seems to check all the boxes. But he's not very instinctive and his pocket presence is mediocre. When the play goes as planned he's great though.
He's a top 10 QB though and in the right scenario he can be the QB on a title winning team. He's just never gonna carry them there.
Can I see some ypa stats? I'm not an expert on Tennessee offense but I thought it was a lot of short passes
People tend to forget that Tannehill was playing pretty well in Miami before he tore his ACL and then got Gase'd
He has the 2nd most 1300 yard seasons all time, one behind Rice. Fastest ever to 12k yards. I don't care if he's been out there with a walker, he's elite. Yes, he's getting older so age is a concern. But bringing up "He's always hurt!" while ignoring he's put up all time great numbers is dumb. Dinged up or not, he's been elite for a decade.
He was 5th in YPA in 2020.
He led the league in 2019.
Yes, he’s had two good seasons. I’m just not a fan.
Damn Tannehill's 2019 YPA is the 2nd highest in the modern era, 0.3 behind Warner in 2000.
His last season in Miami was very quietly really good
Not saying this to bash Tannehill because I do like him. But his efficiency numbers get a big boost from the effectiveness of the running game and play action off that.
Oh absolutely. Brings everyone up to stop Henry so they can go deep with big WR's. Now they have another one to to that with.
Yes, let's not pretend offenses now adays are different than when Rice played.
That aside, no one is saying he's bad. I've literally stated he's elite when he's healthy. Which he is. He'll miss a game and play in 3 that he does nothing bc he's not healthy.
Look at his fucking game log. He'll have 10 100-200 yd games, miss a game, and have like 3 of 50yd or less. That's bc he's banged up.
You're offended by the truth that he has 4ish games where he is hurt and doesn't produce. As I said, he's elite, probably more that that, when he's healthy
Def didn't realize that.
NFL teams literally wouldn't give up a 1st bc he's 32 and as injuries all season
Bama Fans: But He'S gOoD wHeN hEaLtHy. NOt iNjUrEd
So this shows that Moss, TO, and Harrison were freaks and largely avoided injuries. I’m not sure how it helps the case that Julio will still be elite.
Andre, Wayne, Galloway, Horn, Fitzgerald, McCaffrey, Edelman, Ward, McCardell, Brown, Steve Smith and Jimmy Smith also had top 10 fantasy finishes at age 32 or more. I think Julio as a talent should easily be able to keep his skill level up for a few more years of he's healthy.
Not saying he won't get hurt and never get back to being Julio. It's certainly in the range of outcomes. But I feel like that risk is baked into the 2nd round price tag and at that price I think it's an excellent bet for Tennessee. I'd have pulled the trigger on that deal if I were in charge of a few other teams as well.
one 35 year old on this list with 50 entries everyone else 34 or younger
and then Jerry Rice at 40
Does Julio return to top 3 after a season that consisted of a deadly infectious virus. LETS FIND OUT
One of the most incredible things I've seen. Seems impossible.
Is he the only WR playing in today's offenses?
It's almost like no WR has a steady diet of 100+ yard games. That's not how it works. Even the best have off games. Game plans and defenses change from week to week. "He only had 50 yards, he must have been hurt." is dumb. Hell, go look at 1995 for Rice. 1800 yards yet had games of 21, 41, and 32 yards. The truth is Jones has been elite for a decade, so bringing up "He's always hurt!" is really dumb.
FAM Julio's real name Quintorres Lopez Jones. I feel robbed.
Jalen, Rams don’t have the cap space breh
It's a shame Ramsey got traded to LA and got all that money. He's made it no secret he is a lifelong Titans fan
Yea real shame he got generational wealth.
That's what I'm thinking. Interested to see how this goes.
No, but he was hurt. It's OK that you do t follow Atlanta sports and Julio after he left Bama.
Yootr right he was never hurt and is always in pristine health. Those 20yd games were because of elite DBs shutting him down
It's really an unreal steal especially when the contract is 15mm this year, 11 next and could be cut with $0 dead money. If he's still good he's only 11mm in 2023
Again, just like I said to begin with, he's been elite for a decade. If you want to say he's always hurt, go for it, but the numbers speak for themselves. Fastest to 12k yards. Highest ypg in nfl history. Yet you're out here talking about him being hurt a lot bc he doesn't go for 150 every game.
Sucks Julio’s prime was wasted on Matty Noodle Arm.
No one has debated this but create an argument and argue with a wall if you want
