That looks much closer to Jurassic World than Jurassic Park than I would have preferred but I'm still cautiously optimistic with Edwards directing.
Look — you give me big Dino’s and Mahershala Ali, I’m gonna be in my seat with a beer and a popcorn, ready to be entertained. No questions asked.
as someone who adores JP, liked lost world, hates jp3, liked JW, hated fallen kingdom and dominion.... i feel like this looks decent, perhaps on par with jurassic world 1 as far as being entertaining. nothing will top the original since hollywood doesn't seem to understand what made the original a classic wasn't just dinosaurs and crazy action. looks akin to a peter jackson king kong or something, similar vibe to me. that said i pray they just watched the last two films and said "ok lets do the opposite of all that."
Edwards only skill is making movies look good and this looks like shit the creator is gorgeous, but is fucking awful
the final 40mins are great the previous 90 are not which is very evident as to why the rewrites/reshoots took place
New Hope is perfection but I dont think saying RO is the best is a hot take, even if I disagree with it. But it's up there
I prefer New Hope. It created the world. I have no issues for those who prefer Empire...but I will not abide with this RO is the best Star Wars bullshit.
Rogue One is overloved. It's very good, especially the last hour, but it's not "the best." The last hour is very visceral and "real" (in terms of visuals, cinematography, and character moments) which made it a very welcome change of pace from the overabundance of fake/plastic looking CGI, bad blocking, and stiff performances in the prequels. But Rogue One is still below ANH and Empire, and I don't think it's as good as Last Jedi, either, but that's a controversial movie in it's own right.
There were lots of memorable characters in RO. Vader’s in it for gosh’s sake. I think you meant that none of the new characters are memorable. Which - okay, but the series Andor is great. So thank you RO for giving us characters that somebody thought were interesting enough to explore more.
Think you are right. I know it will make a ton of money either way but still figured they would want those screens.
I generally do not bother celebrities I see but at the time Chris Pratt wasn't too big and was just Andy on Parks and I saw him while leaving a restaurant and said I was a fan. Guy shook my hand and then asked me a ton of questions and internally I was like 'I just wanted to give you a shoutout and go' but he was really nice. I assume he does not do that as much anymore with fans now with his success
The raft scene looks like that’ll be good. I’ll go see it in theatres but it doesn’t look like a step up from the last two movies.
