Had the number 2 pick in a 12 team standard scoring league 1. Matt Forte - safe pick, easy schedule, i have a boner for him 2. Greg Jennings - primary receiver in a good offense, was glad to get him here 3. Peyton Manning - thought for sure he'd be gone, but having him in the 3rd round is just too much value to pass up, was gonna get Colston if Manning was gone 4. Jonathan Stewart - was looking for Ochocinco or Braylon Edwards here but they were ripped away from me a few picks earlier so I went with J stew 5. Hines Ward - was in desperate need of a number 2 receiver and Hines was best available 6. Laverneous Coles - really wanted DeSean Jackson here but he was taken 2 picks ahead of me, if Carson plays good Coles will be good 7. Lendale White - stopped drinking tequila, lost weight, will continue to get goalline carries, I can't say no to 12-13 tds in round 7 8. Domenik Hixon - aiming for Breaston here but was taken 2 spots ahead of me, I was pissed, oh well 9. John Carlson - I think he'll be fantastic this year, was a toss up b/w him and kellen winslow right here 10. Le'Ron McClain - Willis going down is all but assured and McClain is money in the red zone. Also he played for Bama 11. Minnesota D - no one else really stood out to me and I figured I might as well take a great Defense here 12. Trent Edwards - needed a back up QB, if he stays healthy he could be a top 15 qb 13. Sidney Rice - dude is a fantastic athlete and Favre may give him the opportunity to score, also fucked over someone who I knew wanted him 14. Chase Coffman - good talent and his value depends on the play of Carson Palmer 15. Kris Brown - needed a kicker, he's good 16. Glenn Coffee - ranked #1705 by Yahoo, i felt he could be valuable if Gore goes down, also Bama thoughts?
I got Jennings, Edwards, Rice and Coffee as well. Seems like you could have done a little better at receiver, though I think Stewart will do better than any receiver you could have gotten then. I'm not a big fan of Ward or Coles, but I guess they could be solid as secondary options. I think Edwards is going to have a very good season in their new offense, so I like that pick. I'd have gone with Winslow over Carlson, but I can't argue with either player. I think Rice could explode and have a huge year. Overall, a pretty good draft, not great or bad. Who went first, Peterson or Turner?
