Going back a while, but the story as I remember it was that Rix was highly touted as a junior and committed early. Sucked as a senior and moved to WR. Richt went out to Cali after the season to watch him with his personal QB coach and decided he was still a take. Supposedly, the QB target if we dropped Rix was Phillip Rivers. This was for the class of 2000.

Rodgers was a JUCO transfer in 2003. I know he's said he wanted to play at FSU, but I don't think he was ever recruited. I don't remember him on the radar at all. I think Cal stumbled on him when they were looking at another guy.
