Finally watched the in-house “The Franchise” propaganda AFC Championship Game video from the Chiefs. Folks, that’s the kinda propaganda I love.
beat writer types seem to think a jones exemption around $28M aav happens early this week. it will have to be in conjunction with either a Sneed trade or some restructures to fit under the cap I’ll be happy with a mid second or maybe a third and like a sixth for sneed happy they’re moving so fast this year so they can head into FA and the draft focused on the WR room
This SI article does a good job summarizing what Nate Taylor said on the KCSN show yesterday, and listing picks of the teams he said were interested.

3 mins after Jones' tweet above, Sneed tweets this: I'm fully back into bullshit cryptic tweet mode lol.
On this morning's Athletic Football Show episode, Dianna Russini said she thinks the Chiefs could get a first round pick for Sneed. I'm still skeptical, but Detroit's pick 29 for Sneed would rule.
I love that we got him but seems like our free agent offseason is over now Maybe they think they are going to get a stack for sneed
With how much demand Sneed seems to be getting, I think they can get up to a one and another later pick. I'd also take a lower pick today and a 2025 1st. Imagine how pissed people would be if it turned into a top 5 pick. As for FA, they have some room to create some space. Pat and Taylor can be converted. There's more opportunity with a Kelce extension. Won't be a furious FA but I think they could go out and sign a WR if they choose to.
At this point with Jones 2024 cap hit being so low I almost want to keep Snead and let him play on the tag unless they get an offer they can’t refuse.
Yeah I don't know. They could use the cap he would generate to sign a receiver like Hollywood Brown and the pick(s) to land a Left Tackle. The team could stand to be more balanced.
I guess I'd prefer Mooney over Samuel, but looking at Mooney's 2023 numbers in the ESPN Open metric and seeing him lower than Justin Watson is concerning. Samuel is even lower.
The question with Mooney is what made the production and inability to separate last year happen. Did he lose some quickness with the ankle injury in ‘22 or did dropping to the #3 target in Getsy’s awful offense and worse route tree cause it. If he’s physically the same as in 22 then he’ll put up big number in KC for $10 million.
The part where Mahomes takes the field in OT around the 51:00 min mark with "Sirius" playing is fucking electric.
I think I’m an idiot (well I know that to be the case) but does CBA mean collective bargaining agreement? If so, why does the royals/chiefs have anything to do with that?
