Reid said Houston and Ware are expected to play.
Please no Pittsburgh
Hey guys I took y'all in my playoff pool so I'll be tagging along for the ride. Thanks and go Chiefs
Plane ticket purchased today, CHIEFSSSSSS
Anyone finding a good deal on tickets? Haven't done much looking but last I checked $100 was about the lowest price I saw.
Already got tickets, but a friend said he was able to get upper level tickets on stubhub for 10% above face value
Tickets were still available through Chiefs website when I checked earlier today
Upper deck face starts at like 125. NFL playoff greed machine smdh
The Steelers are the most dangerous team in the playoffs IMO.
Line is set at a pick 'em
This is the worst case scenario imo. Ugh.
That was rough.
I've seen worse playoff performances than that. Oh well, same old shit.
There've been more agonizing Chiefs losses, but damnit it's frustrating that they scored under 20 and we couldn't come up with a way to get it done
Time for the Chiefs to take a quarterback and let him sit for a year I think.
You hate to do it when the team does have other needs and Alex Smith isn't terrible, but this is as far as they're going to go with him.
This game isn't on Alex.
I'm not saying it was, the offense is just limited by him. He played fine within the scheme of the offense. But you have guys like Maclin and Hill and he just can't make the throws to take advantage of them.
Alex Smith doesn't win you a SuperBowl
Alex Smith is basically Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson can make any throw on the field and has a career average of 8 YPA. He's averaged like 4 more touchdowns than Smith has ever had in his career, on top of being a better rusher.
The only similarities between them is that they're both mobile quarterbacks who don't turn it over a lot.
That's a, uh, weird comparison. I'm not sure there's a QB in the league right now doing more with less than RW. Cheapest OL in the league by far protecting him, injuries everywhere at RB (main RB is an UDFA), and a receiving corps where the two best WR are also UDFA.
It sure wasn't all on him, but he sure had a hand in it.
That OL is horrendous. I would be shocked if the first pick isn't a lineman.
Found this on the Chiefs subreddit, cool photo from last night
Article from Sam Mellinger about the Chiefs going forward with Alex Smith - http://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/sam-mellinger/article126850509.html
Interesting. Certainly didn't expect any other Chiefs news before finding out about Poe and Berry. Kudos to the French Doctor, though.
Hearing a deal with berry is close
I don't think franchising Poe is the right move.
Transition tag him at most so they can gauge his market.
Official - Jamaal out, Berry locked down.
Sad about Jamaal but it was really the only option
I kind of selfishly hope that he just doesn't get the knee back and retires.
I think I'd rather see him recover and have one or two more solid seasons. I like him enough as a person that it extends beyond my Chief fanhood
As long as it's in the NFC
It'll be interesting to see if CJ can beat out West for those snaps. Ware is clearly the lead back. Reid does a pretty great job of working guys in space which is Spillers strength. I am optimistic for obvious reasons.
Anyone want to call their shot for tomorrow? Any chance we actually go QB round 1? I say no.
I hope you guys get/take Dalvin for fantasy purposes.
DW4 or best available ILB/CB
If Watson or Mahomes are still around in the early 20's I hope we trade up for one of them.
Otherwise if Dalvin is there we take him.
If not we take a CB.
Really going out on a limb, I know.
I don't think we go QB, and take the best CB available.
I think we draft a former college football player in the first round.
We will take a late Rd 2/ borderline 3rd round grade DL in the 1st, get berated by all media and fans, then pick up a talented but questionable character kids in the 2nd and 3rd who will become all pros and the DL will get hurt and play 6 games and be cut next off-season.
Chiefs are going to Chief
I only want Watson for QBs. I'd prefer we take anything but a QB/OLB
Need a MLB.
Wow...trade to 10....wonder what we have up...assume it is for watson of course
With Watson on the board, eh?
It is a very Andy Reid move though.
At least Mahomes wont play for 2 more years.
