Plaza 3 has an amazing happy hour in general if you haven't been. Half price apps so you can get 2 for like 10 bucks and be plenty full. Cheap beers too.
I went and bought a bunch of food and booze to prepare for the incoming storm while being stuck inside my house. Now I have to eat and drink it on just a regular friday. This is bullshit
aaaand i hope you can budget 100 bucks for the beer fest. 30 minutes entry before everyone else, free scarf, catered food, access to the heated tent, and additional access to VIP urinals. if you can, then we need to buy them quickly with the quickness like an african american with their extra leg muscle which makes them so fast
has anyone tried that early riser coffee porter from boulevard? if it is good, please send some up to me. I may even pay for it.
I'm not even a Chiefs fan and I'm going because I'm an idiot. But I was smart enough to buy lower level tickets under the overhang.
I'll be in attendance. Was cleaning the ice off my car earlier this morning and it doesn't feel too bad outside.
I will be there as well, it's not too bad out at all imo and of course icepocalypse was predicted so all it will do is rain
They helped me out in my first competition. Good group, good equipment, and they have a good time with it. I went to grade school with one of the guys.
so i'm driving down thursday night for an interview friday morning. the interview is in overland park, but i'd rather not stay in OP since it's so far from the good parts of your fine states. where should i stay?
Depending on the time of day, that's only 15-20 minutes from downtown if that's where you want to stay.
i guess it wouldn't matter if you're only going to be down there for your interview, on second thought if you haven't hit up westport yet, you can always stay around there to be able to walk around, though i don't think the hotels are that great, minus the plaza embassy suites (ive stayed at 816 hotel and found it comparable to the aladdin). also the plaza area would be a decent choice for walkability. otherwise, crossroads is near the courtyard kc downtown. i would aim for crossroads or westport area if you want to explore.
I never realized how uber suburby op was until I moved to Minneapolis. When I came back for christmas this year i was all, wow, wide open spaces, lots of houses, wow.
OP is a perfectly fine place to work. Probably not where you want to live but a job is a job. Considering the interview is in the morning there is no need to stay near a bar district far away from the interview just so you can have a couple drinks.
Look at this way: OP is prob. one of the greatest suburbs on the planet. Which still makes it a suburb. Whether that's a tallest-little-person situation is entirely up to your preference.
