Mayor Q and the police chief launched tear gas on the plaza. Said the protesters started throwing rocks at the cops so they authorized the usage.

I’m going to plug ironhaus Biergarten on 151st and nall joco. sausages come from fritzes on state line. Cheap, nice patio, great variety of German beers. one bartender/server. Go to bar for drinks, she brings the food. will be going back.
yes. Order at the bar. Bartender served and brings food out. I assumed this was a social distancing thing to keep staff down. There were a fair amount of people there. 10-12 inside and 8 on the patio we didn’t wait for anything
When it comes to mid-Bestern cities...StL is out, Chi is out. It basically comes down to us vs Denver. No national team wants to play I elevation. Even if arrowhead isn’t selected we will surely be a host of probably the USMNT, but if not them then a huge team. Between central location and access to Pinnacle, KC will be the desired spot.
Next time I'm in town I got to go get one of those strawberry hill povitica. Q39 looked pretty good too on that kansas city cooking channel special that was released this week.
So the Torchy’s opened up on Ward. Not gonna lie I was kinda disappointed. Solid tacos, but overpriced and not amazing or anything. Spoiler yet another food establishment overrated by Texans :0
did they have curbside pickup or did you have to go in to order? GoodForAnother as a former Texan, thoughts on the spoiler?
torchys is very good but not as amazing as the rep it gets. the queso, margs, and the rotating monthly tacos are the angles
Q39 is very solid across the board, but i dont know that they are the best at anything. They benefit from being nicer sit down place than Joe's/etc, but not as pricey as Jack Stack.
Havent found anything much better in KC than getting meat/tortillas/ etc from San Antonio's, or Bonito Michoacan and cooking the food myself. Still need to go to Bichelmeyer's on a Saturday.
THIS. Dos de Oros taqueria in Martin City is really good as well but I know the owners so I’m biased.
The Bonito in Olathe is my go to place. Their marinated fajita meat is my jam. I also add crema & black beans
For those who live in Johnson County, you should vote for Zach Thomas (the Democrat challenging the incumbent Republican) for District Attorney this November. I feel very confident he’d be better than the guy currently serving as DA.
So I'm going to KC for a bachelor party this weekend. Timing is weird and we are doing Sunday-Tuesday. I'm going to be flying in Saturday afternoon and will likely have the evening to myself. I haven't booked a hotel yet but will be booking somewhere downtown. I love Boulevard beer so I will probably check out the taproom. I know we have Q39 booked on Monday, so what would you recommend I try to do Saturday night? Not looking to get crazy but definitely want some drinks/dinner and maybe watch some football. I know a lot of shit is probably closed due to covid as well and looking to distance and be outside where possible.
Just had the cajun buttermilk chicken sandwich from Sauced. at 19th and Main for lunch, it was so damn good. Highly recommended. I’ll be going back to try their burgers and wings soon.
I did, ordered at a safe distance from the very small brick and mortar located in a courtyard, and took my food home.
