Did the 3 pasta special. Butternut squash ravioli, ziti type pasta with meat and tomato sauce, and one other pasta with white sauce that I forget.
Nice. Done that for brunch a couple times. Isnt that where they come by and will give as much pasta as you want after the initial serving?
Yep. I ate about two plates worth and was dying, and the server came by with a pot and asked if I wanted more, and before I could wave him off and say no thanks he slapped down another huge serving.
Perfect. Reminds me of the first time I went to fogo, the manager came by and asked how I liked things and i told him the ribeye was amazing. He told me to wait a bit, and even though I'd spent the past 1.5 hrs shoving meat into my mouth he brought out a perfectly cooked mid rare prime rib. That was like a month after they opened but I fell in love.
do the numbers go north/south in your fair city i'm like lol how am i going to navigate this new environment :0
Shout out to those living in the Fairway/Roeland Park/Mission area. Give me some sugar, I am your neighbor
Bigger numbers are further south Gets confusing because a lot of cross streets change names once you cross the state line. But it's an easy city to get around once you know it.
KC for real is great. I figured after I took my first job out of school that I'd stick around for a few years and move elsewhere but I'm happy here. You know you're in a good place when you go on vacation and think "dang, I'm missing out on x,y,z that is happening in KC this weekend"
Before moving to just off Johnson Drive, I lived in one of the renovated loft buildings in the crossroads by Manny's/Lulu's for a couple years. Have friends who live in River Market and down by the Phoenix, seems like a fun place to live.
we will be looking in PV/Mission/Westwood/Roeland Park/Waldo/Brookside area, but have to get under contract on our house here first can confirm, source: moved to huge city and travel the country for work and haven't found many cooler places
Been on the border of Old Hyde Park/Southmoreland for a little over a year now. It's coo, but I'll probably move a little closer to the Plaza in a couple months or so.
That area has some great old houses. I feel like a decade of people renovating the insides of them will start a renaissance in the Hyde / Gillam area.
so I'll be renting for now - where's a tight place to start looking? I'd like to have a house, but I'm open to condos/townhouses/apartments as long as there's an attached garage
bradrents.com is my landlord. i've rented two different houses from him over the last 4 years. most of his houses in the $1000-1100/mo range
South of the plaza/westport is probably a place to start. Generally the further south and the further away from it you go, the more reasonable the pricing gets. My buddy is in real estate and just bought his first house around 81st street.
