https://peaceloveandlowcarb.com/low-carb-tortilla-pork-rind-wraps/ Super-low carb tortillas made with pork rinds. I'm looking at doing pizza later this week with pork rinds as well.
I use these. Almost every meal I do has tortillas involved. Not every meal. But probably 4 days a week Mama Lupe Low Carb Tortillas - Pack of Three
These are pretty good as well: http://www.missionmenus.com/en/products/view/mission-fajita-carb-balance-whole-wheat-8ct
Intrigued by this but don't know where the hell to start. Anyone got any resources for some cheap meals to try? Help computer
I went only meat (eggs, chicken, steak, fish) for 5 days straight, which was to just force me into the no carb/sugar zone. Mainly mental for me. I previously had bread with every meal. Every side item was a carb/sugar item. Pasta, pizza, etc. Fast forward, now I'm veggies + meat, avoiding everything else.
im cuirious if anyone had worse eating habits than me this year lol. I went all in (or it all went in I should say).
I had problems avoiding carbs/sugars, so I went all meat. That was my trick to jump start Keto diet. But there are arguments about protein vs fats and amounts. It gets deep.
I bought them last week. Taste just like Doritos, although the consistency is a little weird. Definitely like them, though.
Im not kidding I think Ive slowly been killing myself Ive been eating so bad for so long. Zero exercise. Drinking too much. Its led to pretty legit health issues. Im not sure if I could put on more weight if I tried. I just finished a weekend of complete food debauchery (and I feel completely awful right now.) Weighed in at 205 just now. Most Ive ever weighed. That doesn't sound like much but I don't have a big frame. I start keto tomorrow.
Pretty confident you will see results. You don't have to starve yourself either. Just really focus on carbs low, high fat
You sound ready. Keep us updated. My experience with Keto, and diets, is that it is better to swear stuff completely off oppose to constantly flirting with danger. I don’t get to have 1 Oreo or 1 soda. You should also consider giving up obvious carbs/sugars (bread, pasta, sweets), but mainly focusing on calorie counting. I only say that because I know a few ppl that haven’t lost weight on Keto because they consume a large amount of food. It’s possible. And for you, weight loss may be the priority right now. Success being found via fasting too. Maybe 1.5 meals a day. Whatever keeps you going. Lastly, I’ll add that you will get hungry and it will suck. Worth it though.
Ive actually done it before and seen how it can work, but I really wasn't in a place where I could keep it up. Traveling a lot and tons of social obligations. We just had our second kid a couple months ago and life is a lot simpler and more boring now. I should be able to give it a real go.
Been dealing with increasingly serious psoriatic arthritis for almost two years now. Went through two different rounds of medicine that didn't help at all. Im convinced my diet is the real culprit. Priority number one is just finding a way to get some energy back. Im hoping this diet combined with some regular exercise will help, sure seems like it will.
If Im getting really lit up Ill have a dozen scotch and waters or so. Typically if Im drinking Ill drink a bottle of wine, maybe a bit more. Ive had to dial it way back on frequency though bc the arthritis makes the hangovers killer. Used to drink a bottle of wine a night Id guess. Ill do that on the weekends now. The plan is to keep cutting back and so far that's been plenty easy. Its the food thats been tough. After reading a bunch of stuff I definitely think Im "addicted" to carbs. The food I constantly crave is super carb heavy.
that’s an autoimmune response and most likely caused by the diet. do a food sensitivity test. this is the best one https://nowleap.com/the-patented-mediator-release-test-mrt/ we’ve seen a lot of success with it. my mom’s eczema completely cleared up after following the diet plan
I had a full dinner the night before Keto and then said fuck it and got a pizza at 11:30 for good measure. But anyway, you should really consider giving up alcohol for a few months.
Im pretty interested in this. Ive considered an elimination diet but thats a crazy amount of work and Im not sure Ill even be able to get good info from it. What did it tell your mom? Id be crushed if I took something like this and it said I have a high sensitivity to red meat.
corn, wheat, and something else were in the red. she ate popcorn like every night watching the news and drank a lot of beer. stopped popcorn, buying anything with corn syrup, and switched to cider and it worked it’s really not that much more work than keto. it literally tells you what you shouldn’t eat. anything in the “red” should be avoided all together, and anything in the “yellow” is eliminated for a month and then gradually reintroduced. the science behind it is your body’s immune system won’t continually be triggered and has time to calm down and restore. so when you get back to the yellows, they’re not having the same inflammatory response my red was strawberries and i freaking ate those like every day. cinnamon too and i love cinnamon. i cut those and within a week i noticed that i was producing less phlegm, it was crazy it’s a blood test so don’t worry about getting bad info. it’s pretty well studied
Yea no I meant an elimination diet where you slowly introduce foods back into the diet and see what makes you feel bad. This seems like a cheat code. I'm pretty curious. How expensive is it?
I met him once at a WVU game. He stole a homeless mans cooler for his Coors light. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
Watch "The Magic Pill" on Netflix. Dr. Berg on YouTube Thomas DeLauer on YouTube. Otherwise just Google "keto recipes" if you're looking for something besides the obvious. The biggest thing in this is consuming fats. Get good fats in.
That's where I was man. I'm 5'10 and at my heaviest I was 218. I'm not built to carry that kind of weight. Didn't look horrible, just looked like a dude in his mid 30s that didn't care what he ate, but was still kind of getting away with it. Checked in at 182 this morning.
Made a Soup bone, Kale and cabbage soup yesterday. Literally 5 minutes after I finished that it shot out of my ass. Tasted good though.
Think of them as fluffy Doritos. Once you have a bag or two you become accustomed and you wont even think about it. Always have them in my snack drawer even though I am not doing keto anymore.
