Ghee is stupid easy to make. Takes like 15 minutes tops. Full disclosure I like to cook. I realize not everyone does.
peanuts are the nuts for peasants. Stick to almond or cashew butter. As for frying - make some ghee or use coconut or avocado oil

I don’t like peanuts in relation to other nuts. Almonds, cashews and macadamia nuts are all better for keto (and overall)

What level do you want your ketones to be in for urine test? Everything I see online is related to blood. I've been about an 8 on the urine ketone test.
5 days in and down 5 pounds of likely water. Haven't missed carbs at all. However, had to walk past the office kitchen to fresh cuban pastries this morning. That was definitely tough.
Urine is not the most accurate method to measure because there can be a lot of variance dependent upon how hydrated you are.
i was reading about this a few days ago, i got the impression that peanut oil is less-than-ideal in terms of omega-6 but is not at the extreme end. it isn't an 'avoid at all costs' type thing. avacado oil is supposedly a good substitute for peanut oil, its just crazy expensive in comparison. i just bought some to replace my peanut oil, yesterday, haven't used it yet. i also got the impression that there's a lot of conflicting information out there on the subject of dietary fats. there's more than one type of omega-6, which complicates things as well.
