Mio is clutch for booze too - get a vodka water and squirt some mio in it and it helps a lot if you want some flavor other than vodka
I just read an article that says if you’re in ketosis you stay in it at less than 50g of carbs? Is this right? I’ve been only doing less than 20
careful. Lot of calories and the artificial sweeteners can trigger an insulin response. You’re better off making your own chia seed pudding
there’s not a magic number. It depends on the person. I’m getting around 20-30 but I’d be safe getting up to 100 or so due to my activity level
Keto strips came in. Fiance is deep in Ketosis and I show up in the "low" category. We eating the exact same stuff so I'm going to assume it has to do with her being 100+lbs smaller then me and the fact that I drink a shit ton of water.
What do you guys eat for snacks? I’m probably going Keto, but not for weight loss. Just to be healthier - finally quit pop/soda on Monday for a start.
Oh they've been triggering a sweet tooth for two years but I love them. Do you have a recipe on that pudding?
3 tbsp chia seed, one cup almond milk, cocao powder or vanilla extract or whatever flavor you want, maybe stevia depending on your tastes. Let it set in the fridge overnight
You have a Costco or Sam's membership? They sell really good salame/other cured meats for waaaay cheaper than you can get them at the usual grocery store.
I am on day 4. Lost 12 pounds so far, which totally seems legit. Im going to assume i actually havent lost any and i only gained 10 lbs in the two months off.
Was just gonna say this. Big box stores are clutch. And to also be careful with cured meat and always check nutrition panels because some of the cheap ones use fake carb loaded filler. Salami and Colby-Pepper Jack slices with ranch is one of my go to snacks. And almonds. And dill pickles.
Nah, but I need to invest in that. Also switched my gas station snack over to beef sticks, but I need to get some without preservatives and sugar
If you're going keto, the membership will pay for itself in ribeye, cheese, nuts, and cured meats alone
I would pretty much be keto already except I have a problem of ingesting more than 300g of sugar a day all from Dr Pepper. And somehow I have a six pack but after the doctor visit I’m pretty much dead
It shouldn’t be. I just had this false belief that being 27 and having below probably 8% BF meant I was healthy. Long story short, the sugar is now in my urine. So it’s either cut sugar completely or have diabetes at 5’’11 170lbs
Former athlete, haven’t worked out heavy in 5 years. Combine that with all my Dr. Pepper and I think I walked myself into a type 2 diabetes situation. Just got blood and urine work done
Good luck. I don't really have any advice on quitting soda as I did it like 14 years ago, but I can tell you I'm one of the people that it became really gross to once I got away from it. Like really gross. Hope it's the same for you
I don’t find it too difficult. I used to drink Mt. Dew like I did Dr Pepper until I went to school in the Sip. Switched to Dr Pepper and literally will not drink any other soda
Urine analysis, dipstick said there was sugar in the urine. Just did another urine along with blood analysis today. I’ve gone from 190lbs probably 15-18% to 160-165lbs 6-12%bf and I do not work out at all. In about a 1-2 year span
What made you get tested? 6% body fat is insanely low https://www.builtlean.com/2012/09/24/body-fat-percentage-men-women/
I changed it. I’m an idiot I’m probably between 8-13%. I have veins in my calves, arms, pretty much everywhere. I weighed like 175 in 7th grade. I’m the lightest I’ve been since middle school
Got tested because I thought I had some std like symptoms, but it’s looking like all this Dr Pepper severely fucked my sugar levels/kidney etc
I was the same way but not health problems like that. Skinny so didn’t care about what I ate. Then started reading about how fucking terrible refined sugars are for literally every part of your body and I woke up.
Hey nobody’s perfect. You’re here to change now. Just find something to replace it with. Coffee, tea, sparkling water, something. Plain water didn’t do it for me.
I just hope it’s not too late for irreversible damage to some body parts. I’ve had to have had this for a year or two.
If you’re struggling with giving it up, there may be sugar free/calorie free type of soda (idk Dr. Pepper) that could help you get off of it slowly.
I haven’t had one since Monday, then I found out the news. I’m good with tea, just hoping this 5 year stint of being a piece of shit doesn’t land me type 2 diabetes or worse.
Chorizo patties on top of mashed cauliflower (with goat cheese mixed in) is excellent. But add more goat cheese than you think it needs - the cauliflower is pretty overpowering.
