Motherfuck. I picked up 2 for $25 each a couple days ago. Had a buy one get one 50% off and an extra $10 off. I was happy with that
I’ve been sleuthing the internet trying to figure out how much sugar is in Lowry’s. Old man Lowry must have that recipe under lock and key. After my jar is empty I think i’ll just start mixing a seasoned salt of my own.
I just did this earlier this week and found it in one click. Maybe its because you're spelling Lawry's wrong. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mccormick.com/lawrys/flavors/spice-blends/seasoned-salt?amp=1
That’s the label for a 1/4 tspn so they can say 0 carbs but there’s sugar in it, it’s the second ingredient, so it has some amount of carbs. I can’t find anywhere that it actually breaks down the % of it that is sugar.
A little math tells me that once you subtract the salt, you have 201.5 mg of the rest of the ingredients per serving. It's fine.
Lawry's is the best. I'm sure there's sugar in it. I've toned down how much I use, but still put it on everything.
Weekly weigh in. Weight loss is definitely slowing down but a little bit over a month on this and I am down 14 pounds to 186. It’s raining so I should go on a run to see how it feels to be this low and run. Another 10ish pounds and I’ll start to add more fruit. 941Gator and hipsterjoe what do you two suggest for maintenance and when I should start that? When I hit my goal or lower than my goal or beforehand? Thanks.
I’m dying. Serious fatigue. Serious brain fog. I’m like a vegetable. I’ve been taking supplements but am I not getting enough salt?
I am about ten pounds from my goal weight. I want to know what I should do once I get there to maintain. I want to know if I should start adding more fruits and vegetables that might not be keto friendly like apples, mangos and bananas and when I should. I really don’t want to get that much below 175 so I don’t want to stay strick keto and continue to lose even if it’s a pound a week. I hope that makes sense. You seem to have a firm knowledge on nutrition.
so you should start getting an idea of how many calories you’re taking in. Just because you’re in ketosis doesn’t mean you’ll keep losing weight - what matters is that your body is in a caloric deficit, which means you’re burning more calories than you’re taking in. Let’s say you’re eating 2,500 calories and you’re still losing weight - up your calorie amount a bit and see how that treats you there’s a more scientific way to calculate how much you’re burning but I’d just tinker with it and go from there. Keep the protein/fat ratio pretty much the same but don’t be afraid to add a little more protein
I’m eating keto to become less reliant on carbs for my energy source. I’m 8% body fat - I don’t need to lose weight
a high fat diet plus my collection of high powered crystals and essential oils pretty much guarantees I won’t get cancer
So what does “ketosis” actually mean? That I am burning fat instead of carbs? Is then keto just a regular “eat less move more type diet”? I knew I had to watch my calories but I thought that being in ketosis meant I had to watch them a little less than regular. I am obviously calorie deficit thats why I am losing weight but is it the high fat what’s keeping me from feeling hungry? What type of food do you suggest I add?
keto diet is basically the Atkins diet tbh. The high fat content is what makes you feel satiated. Being in ketosis means your body is producing ketones for fuel. I suggest you add more food. If you’re upping your calories then you need to up your fats and proteins and carbs to stay in the magic ratio
A good way to tell you're not in ketosis is despite eating you still feel empty and crave empty carbs. most likely due to sugars hiding in items.
I need to up the salt game as well. Taking in lots of water. Been trying daily to load up spinach with salt and butter but my calves have been cramping every so often doing stairs.
