These are the GOAT Gonna start drinking these after 8pm instead of diet sodas that contribute to my restlessness
Wife has been making these 2 deserts to keep us sane when we have sugar kick: Cheesecake brownies:1.5g net carbs /serving https://www.gnom-gnom.com/gluten-free-keto-cheesecake-brownies/ Chocolate milkshake: 5.25g net carbs/serving https://www.gnom-gnom.com/paleo-keto-bulletproof-chocolate-milkshake/
Diet soda helps me get through the day, but I recently cut them out after 7pm and it was an improvement to sleeping, etc. Especially if you’re not getting water during the day.
I started tea. Still experimenting with a bunch of types. I wish Arnold Palmer 0 cal mix had caffeine in it because that’s my favorite (although it’s not real tea).
Tea just doesn’t do it for me. I want to like tea, it just seems spoiled or something. Maybe all the sugar has ruined me.
I think I’m the only one here who hasn’t heckled people and am just trying to help so not sure what everyone’s problem is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've switched back to team Hipsterjoe. It was a fun week on team devine but just think of it like a vacation.
Im drinking a L of ketoade, a L of agua, and prolly at least 20 oz. of tea and 20 oz. of coffee every day. Pretty sure I pee once every 30 minutes.
Least favorite part of drinking water. I swear it runs through me faster than everyone else. I pee all day
If not it’s just full of a bunch of people losing a bunch of weight and being happy and we can’t have that
To save me from going back through the entire thread, what are the best recipes you guys have? I’m thinking of compiling a cook book of sorts.
I'm going to finally get around to making this for dinner tomorrow. http://www.peanutbutterandpeppers.com/2014/03/18/grilled-cheesy-buffalo-chicken/ While I haven't had it yet. Others itt have and said it's good.
Made a great chocolate mug cake tonight. I’m sticking to pretty much a meat/egg/cheese and veggie diet, but these recipes keep away cravings for other things. Spoiler 2 tbsp almond flour 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tbsp swerve confectionary/granulated (erythritol) 1/4 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp mayo 1 large egg yolk (can keep egg white if you want, texture would be slightly different) 1 tsp water Sift flour and powder with a whisk before measuring. Mix dry ingredients well in a coffee mug/cup or jar. Then add wet ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Let sit 1-2 minutes. Microwave for about 50 secs, maybe a little less if yours is stronger. 50 was fine for me, maybe a tad shorter next time. Can add a hunk of dark chocolate to the middle, peanut butter/almond butter, or whipped cream for a topping. Ingredients as is are about 250-300 calories, 3 net carbs.
This was an easy least way to bake wings. I usually do wingettes and sprinkle the rub on before I shake them in a bag with baking powder. If you want them wet toss them with Franks Red Hot and melted butter after they come out of the oven. They’re super crispy. https://www.ketoconnect.net/oven-chicken-wings/
meat - butter - spices side of greenbeans/asparagus/mashed cauliflower/broccoli it's literally my dinner every night I made a fantastic sous vide mahi mahi filet the other night, so that was nice
Exactly like the recipe said. Butterflied the chicken, put the cheese in and fold it back over. Probably helps they I’m not using very thick chicken. If you are, maybe pound it out some.
I should've read this 15 mins ago. I just put the chicken in the oven. They're pretty thick breasts that I didn't pound. Oh well....even if they don't look right, they should taste delicious.
I sympathize with you guys on all these ice cream and candy bar substitute recipes, but it kinda seems like you’re prioritizing the symptom over the disease. As someone who’s gladly eaten ice cream for breakfast without giving a token fuck, I can say a little abstinence on sweets goes a long way. I stopped buying cookies, ice cream, candy, pastries, and whatnot when I aged enough to notice my metabolism couldn’t slough off that stuff like it did when I was a teenager. Over time I became more sensitive to the taste, and while I still enjoy it, I can’t stomach large portions super-rich sweets to the same degree. I’ll have some dark chocolate or a pastry once in awhile, and I’ll kill a pint of gelato or homemade ice cream every blue moon. But I don’t crave them or think about them at all. When you get into the habit of grabbing some hummus, trail mix, a piece of fruit, carrot sticks, etc... for a snack, you just won’t care if you can have frostys or not.
I haven’t craved sweets at all since I started doing keto two weeks ago. Don’t see a problem in having something like that once a month or so. Definitely wouldn’t be a daily or even weekly thing.
Just saw this week that they make larger bottles now. I was buying four or five of the smaller bottles at a time.
