Bonus: collagen is really good for your skin, hair, and joints. I supplement with the Whole Foods brand twice a week.
Did some dirty math in my head at costco and it's cheaper than bone broth and obv a lot more versatile, not to say that doesn't have it's place in stews/soups. Also a great product to push to your vegetarian friends as a though experiment. Lots of the ethical objections vegetarians cite don't seem to hold much water for these foods, at least they don't for me
Your whey insensitivity could be the sucralose in it, not the actual powder. If I pound like 100g of it then I’ll have similar gassy issues. There is no gas like loading up on plant or pea protein though. That shit is nuclear.
Made this salisbury steak tonight: https://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/low-carb-salisbury-steak-with-mushroom-gravy/ Was pretty good but needs more seasoning. I recommend using some Montreal Steak seasoning on the patties. Also hsing 3/4-1 full cup of broth and a bit more sour cream. Overall, pretty good. Will make again.
Wife made those cinnamon fat bombs. Those are terrific. A Lou Malnali’s pizza and a few of those, bring on the Super Bowl.
Pretty sure I could eat wings for quite a few days in a row and not get tired of them. Making them again for the Super Bowl.
Haha. Watching that “Happy” show on Netflix and this guy just flipped out and then blamed it on the ghee and MCT oil he’s been adding to his coffee.
Wonderful. The amount of versatility that cauliflower has is unbelievable. My favorite part of this diet so far. I’ve only been buying whole heads of cauliflower and doing everything myself as far as cutting them into Florets. It’s time consuming and annoying. Has anyone had experience just buying the florets from the frozen section? Are these still good for all the recipes?
By the way if you aren’t making buffalo chicken dip today you’re doing this diet and super bowl wrong
I found the florets at Walmart in the produce section. Like a buck more than a head but well worth the time. Also to clarify, they are not frozen. Edit they call them cauliflower crumbles.
First cheat in almost 4 weeks. Back on tomorrow and am going to go for about the same again. Down 15 pounds.
Did carne asada for the super bowl. Found cauliflower rice at Trader Joe’s. Honestly it tastes like fried rice. On a side note I am not going to do my weekly weigh in tomorrow. Going to wait a week to see what’s going on. Will probably weigh in next week maybe I am an at my natural weight and I need to start losing fat%.
Had a pretty shitty week. Drank a lot of booze this weekend as well. Then going to Vegas Thurs-Sun for an all expense paid CE trip. It’s going to suck for my ketosis.
