When I hit the one 140s, I’m going and eating the biggest buffalo chicken sandwich and order of fries I can get my hands on
Had some leftover cabbage so I made that crackslaw that lewis posted and yep that’s gonna join the regular rotation
I love these so much I’ve started thinking of other combinations of ground meat and toppings. Turkey/bacon/ranch, lamb/onion/feta, chicken/mustard/ham/gruyere, beef/bacon/pickle/cheddar, etc. I’ve even been thinking about a stroganoffish take with beef and sour cream/cream of mushroom.
Adding this to the lunch rotation. 1 Avacado diced, 2 boiled eggs diced, 2 tbsp blue cheese crumbles, s&p. Mix 583 cal, 46.9 g fat, 3 g carbs, 17.5 g protein.
https://ketogasm.com/keto-egg-roll-bowl-recipe/ I'll add a fried egg and a bit of unseasoned rice wine vinegar to it as well.
Fell off the wagon again this weekend. Tacked 5 quick pounds on but I think it was good. I’m back on the train today and I’ll hop back off in two weeks for a wedding.
I'll be at a bar all day Thursday and Friday for the games this week so I'm already chalking them up as a loss, but I'm doing some fasting beforehand and will fast again afterwards and should hopefully be able to minimize the damages.
i had an abysmal weekend where i ate 4 cream cheese danishes and 2 apple danishes from Costco, followed by 2 big fried chicken sandwiches from a local place and had a ton of beer it was so worth tho
My parents had their 60th birthdays this weekend and we took the whole family to their favorite town a few hours away for 1 night. Managed to sneak in pizza, pasta, a few craft brews, ice cream, and Wendy’s in about a 24 hour period. Totally worth it.
For sale or on sale? I’ve only seen them on sale once, amazon had them for 50% off once. Vitamin Shop sometimes has $10 off of $50 or more but that’s not specific to quest bars.
devine Daniel Ocean and other long time keto-ers. Here in month 3 I’m pretty constipated. Did that ever happen to you guys? Really weird considering months 1&2 were basically constant bouts of diarrhea.
Yeah it comes and goes. I think it happens more to me when I don’t drink enough water. Drinking Metamucil helps too.
I think I’ll get some Metamucil or fiber supplement. I can tell from the mirror and from belt snugness that I’ve been losing inches since March started but the scale has been pretty stagnant. I think a good system flush will get me back on track.
goodbye friends I’m officially ending my keto fun for now and transitioning back to a high protein/low fat diet
except for all the gin I drank Saturday and the chicken and waffles Sunday morning and the pizza I ate Sunday night and the Taco Bell I ate last night
if anybody wants to join me on this journey then PM me or whatever and we can do it together. It's summer bod time so I'm cutting my calories to 2,800 with a 35/35/30% carb/protein/fat split
On my way to my favorite Vietnamese place for the first time in months. Going to ask for pho with no noodles and extra bean sprouts and see if that causes an international incident or not.
In the Charlotte area at least, Wal-Mart and Target have the best prices. Generally can find them for $7.50 for a box of 4 which is better than the ~$2.50 per bar you see most places
Officially lost 20lbs since I started Keto in January. The key was when I started mixing in intermittent fasting then a 24 hour fast from Sunday night through Monday night. Allowed me to play fast and loose on saturday and Sunday then immediately hit the reset button.
Target once had a deal where you got a $5 gift card for every two boxes you bought. Outside of things like that they don’t go on sale often.
I think I’ll be able to answer that more in a week or so when I feed off carbs and build my glycogen stores back up. I think I felt more clear headed but that’s really about it. My energy levels in the gym were lower than usual too. I’m also constantly sick it seems like, but never got so much as a cold on the diet. I see myself doing it again sometime I think
Starting week for half marathon training. I’m interested to see how my energy levels do, especially for long runs.
made this tonight: https://realbalanced.com/recipe/instant-pot-broccoli-cheese-soup/ followed the recipe except at the end I added a pound of sauteed 80/20 ground beef. topped it with onions and tapatio, so it was kinda like a delicious broccoli cheddar cheeseburger soup. macros per serving for 5 servings were: 798 cal, 61 fat, 42 protein, 12 net carbs.
I've slowed down, but haven't been good on the keto either. 219lbs this a.m. 12lbs from goal (would be 100lbs lost).
My longest run since starting keto has been 7 miles my longest workout has been a 3 hour bike ride. I felt strong ( endurance wise) but I wasn’t winning any speed awards Ease into it my first long was horrible.
Started Dec 31 at 175 Down to 158. Goal is 155. Anything lower and I'll bee too skinny (I have a very slight build minus the beer gut I had haha) Best part? I haven't had a migraine since I started. I've gotten them about 2-3 times a month since I was about 10-12 (I'm 31). I've had a few minor headaches that I took regular Advil for and they've been gone in 10 minutes which I didn't even know was possible I'll never go back to full carbs/sugar. I may incorporate more fruits and a weekly potato night, but im in tbis for the long haul
i ate some ribcaps last night and woo boy you need to go to your butcher and get these asap https://amazingribs.com/tested-recipes/beef-and-bison-recipes/rib-cap-best-cut-steer
