Anyone played this? It's a couple years old, but that tends to be a good thing with all the patches needed in games. It's a single player RPG. So far the story has been great (not a big story guy) and it's very immersive. Battle is a pain in the ass, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. You have to actually eat food and sleep, but it's not very strict. You can just chug wine/beer and go to sleep every couple days and you're fine. And a movie is going to be made from it. https://www.kingdomcomerpg.com/
Not really similar to Mount and Blade. It is one of the most hardcore first person RPGs I've ever played. It's really fantastic. Very sad it's not on GamePass anymore, I didn't finish it.
Can I get an update on this? Is it worth the $30? I need a story mode game to fill in the time between fifa and the wait for the PS5. Is it pretty immersive or does it lack depth?
It's immersive as hell. Super deep, gameplay mechanics take a while to master. Intro is like 2 hours long.
It's not a fast paced game. Think Fallout 4 survival mode mechanics in medieval times. You have to find a bed to sleep in when you're tired, you have to eat, food spoils after a while, you can bleed to death, etc. I think it's fantastic though.
Sounds legit, I’ll have to download it tonight. I’ve beat the elder scrolls, the Witcher, horizon, dragon age... might as well add this to the list
Sorry to add so much stuff into the other thread. For Food, I just drank beer before I went to bed every couple days and I never got hungover or needed to worry about eating. If you're doing the DLC, try to put some effort into the city you can develop ( you have to go so far into the main questline to open it up) as it can help generate money for you in a game that money is tough to come by. Don't get too worried that you'll go too far and lose out on quests. There's one main part that will cut out previous quest lines, but it gives you a Major alert that you can't miss. So you'll know when you're at the point of no return and can go back and spend 50+ hours doing other stuff like I did.
I love how when you start out, you really do feel like a dumb peasant who can't fight for shit. I literally had to find someone to teach me how to read lol.
I’m trying to escape the first town and keep getting killed. It says I’m overloaded and can’t sprint. I finally got on a horse and they kept knocking me off then got hit with an arrow. Then they killed my horse. Fuck
Check your inventory, and the encumbrance is at the bottom middle left. I died multiple times before successfully getting the fuck out of there
I am on this mission called Nest of Vipers and I’m trying to take out this whole camp, ill equipped. So frustrating.
So the save starts me on the horse bleeding after getting hit with an arrow. I have no clue where to go. Keep getting killed.
You just have to ride your horse as hard as possible on the trail. Pull up your map and you should see a little of what’s ahead of you.
I threw dung against the douches White House with the boys so they owed me a favor. I had them beat his ass so bad he couldn’t walk.
There's a lot consequences for seemingly minor actions. I would watch a YouTube beginner tips video, helped me a lot.
Ya this game is going to be a bitch. I can't get out of this castle. Seems like I have to lockpick a chest for some armor. I of course can’t figure this out. Watched a video and that didn’t help.
Never did beat this game but the learning/difficulty curve is steep until your gear and skills improve and then you become overpowered quick. Aiming a bow sucks Ditching your armor for black clothing makes murdering people in their sleep a breeze
Without spoiling the intended way to get out, I believe you can just jump off the castle drawbridge and survive. (I think I’m not confusing it with another town)
Oh I tried that but it wouldn't let me. Unless I didn't do it at the right spot. I figured out you can spend the night in jail and they kick you out and tell you to never come back. I don't want that to happen so I loaded a previous save. I read online you can change the setting for lockpicking so I'm going to try that today and see if I can figure it out.
So I unlocked a chest. Got armor. It says to steal a horse. They instantly start attacking me and somehow I fell off the drawbridge with the horse haha. Says I failed to steal a horse even though I road off with one. Managed to kill a few guys. Opening credits are rolling. Think I’m getting the hang of it.
It took me forever to figure out how to lockpick. You need to find the spot where the circle goes yellow. Then you need to rotate the dial and move the circle so it stays in the same spot you started the yellow spot. It gets really easy once you figure it out, but figuring it out took me forever. I really wish I would have saved when I got like 5 lockpicks at the begging and just practiced and reset until I could do it easier.
I should have done the same. I still can't figure it out and I hate leaving all the chests. One time I got close to unlocking my second chest and a guard walked in so I got caught and then killed.
So this game is fun and frustrating. Very addicting. My guy is so weak. He can’t carry anything basically. I’m exploring the woods and random places and can’t run. I’ve looting a lot of people trying to get lighter armor but just can’t seem to get it low enough. Oh well onward.. very slowly.
Theresa Then Lady Stephanie Theresa said she could smell the whores on me. I convinced her otherwise Some bar wench in a barn with the priest was next
Use your horse to store stuff on. You don't even need to have your horse near you. Just go to menu. Once I realized that, my frustration lessened.
A lot going on here: Seems like every time I travel now I get attacked by 5 or 6 OP knights and get killed. No clue how I have such a bad reputation in some of these cities. I can't get missions or complete some because of it. Can’t talk to some people. Seems like several missions are glitched. Building the town is expensive.
Make sure you're clean. Also do the bandit quests for the local bailiff's that helps gain reputation quickly. And any other sidequest tied to the city. I would sell one thing at a time to traders (until I got bored/impatient) as that helped raise the reputation as well.
Also, if you're traveling and its still early on in the game, try and run from the people who ambush you.
I try to hit every bath house or tub of water I see. I’m on I think the 3rd city of bandit quests. The trader thing might have to happen for me. Some locations I’ve had to pay people just to talk to them. With trying to build my city I’m out of money quick. I have no clue how to get the executioner to talk to me. He always fights me or runs away.
