I've tried one of them, wasn't bad.
My sources understand that og is the Billy Mays of Kombucha
between this and the cbd oil thread we're getting closer to facebook and tmb becoming one
i have also been going out of my way to eat more yogurt and kimchi, though not at the same time
poops are much, much nicer
We brew our own. Currently re-doing our ferment with some new bugs to get a diff flavor profile.
I enjoy it.
Have it on tap at my office it is p cool.
After reading this thread, I decided to try my first kombucha. Got the Kavita (?) Raspberry Lemon flavor because fuck that ginger cayenne and other gross flavors. Figured I needed to shake it up to get all those probiotics mixed in. Dumbass me not realizing the fermentation made it fizzy so when I opened it, it sprayed all over me. It was meh....
My local HEB has it on tap to fill growlers
I've passed by that thing 100 times and never thought to try it, but seeing you guys talk about it and its actually good for you, I may try some
This would be amazing
Does for me
I can’t swing a dead cat in this town without hitting a hippy trying to hawk their patent-pending, tumeric-infused, pesticide and hormone free, non-GMO, organic kombucha infused with superfood greens. Most of it is a’ight but overpriced, not good enough to justify the premium.
I had a rootbeer booch the other day that was out. of. this. world., but it was a homebrew at a food truck and I can’t find their stock at any retailer. Would buy again.
It usually doesnt have as many live and active probiotics as the companies claim.
I mean if we are talking best probiotic ‘food’ I would think it was kefir
Same website. Thanks.
Do you always get so defensive when people post links to support your claim?
Well based on section 1 I thought you were trying to say the opposite so I’M SORRY !!!
From section two.
"While yogurt is probably the best known probiotic food in the Western diet, kefir is actually a better source. Kefir contains several major strains of friendly bacteria and yeast, making it a diverse and potent probiotic (15)."
True but it all depends on what the company adds to the product. Some kefir (like Lifeway) barely has a billion probiotics per serving, while others have over 60 billion.
Yogurt and kefir are basically the same product. The difference is that to be able to label something "yogurt" per the FDA you must use thermophilus and bulgaricus cultures which are only cultures to set the thick body of the yogurt but die in your stomach acid.
Kefir generally uses these cultures too (too make it thicker) but just not nearly to the same level that is needed in yogurt, leaving more 'food' for the probiotic cultures thus increasing counts.
Saw this thread earlier today and decided I was going to try it.
Bought the bu honeydew and peach/ginger. Love the honeydew and I actually get that good feeling from it. Really hope it’s not just placebo.
Nah it’s legit
I had a sample of boozy kombucha at Sprouts a few weekends ago. Would drink again.
just get this and thank me later instead
gotta ask the pharmacist for it as it's in the fridge
Idk, but I went back to the store and bought a case.
Have you guys thought about becoming plexus ambassadors?
I’ve contemplated selling heroin and heroin accessories.
how fermented does it taste tho
Very little if you ask me
Too much to be drinkable if you ask my wife
Just had a delicious glass of pineapple/turmeric/ginger cbd kombucha.
update: it was advertised as like pineapple flavor or something but it tasted pretty much entirely of ginger. pretty good though, will investigate other flavors
this is good stuff, especially after finishing a round of antibiotics for anything
this one is really, really good - only 7g sugar per serving
I tried some this week, it was super carbonated which makes it difficult to drink. Is that normal?
i dunno about super carbonated, but they do have carbonation level similar to beer
i usually drink about half of 1 GT's a day with dinner. typically one of the gingerade, tumeric or gingerberry flavors. love it
Had some the first time on Friday, because of this thread. Up sick with norovirus all night Friday. Absolutely sure kombucha had nothing to do with it, but it will likely be a while before I get that association out of my head.
I bought some on Friday and have yet to be brave enough to drink it.
Just went back and got a 32oz growler filled. Also picked up a few assorted CBD treats. Looking forward to the rest of the day.
Just had this. Wife is annoyed by me yelling BOOCH
What benefits do you get from this IYO?
Local coffee hang has a Peach-Mint ‘buch on tap. So good.
I think it really helps take the edge off more than anything. I’m sure some of it is placebo, but last weekend I went furniture shopping with my wife after drinking 16oz and had a wonderful time, which I feel is as great of an endorsement I can give.
About to tap our keg at the house, so I’m brewing another batch today. Although it won’t be ready for flavoring for a few weeks, TMB, pick my flavor.
Been drinking more regularly now with a little help from my friends on the-mainboard . com
We just got a booch taproom in town that also sells CBD infused items. Also, I love the watermelon and cranberry synergy bottles they sell at Kroger.
Don't be scared off if you don't like it at first, tastes can vary wildly between brands. I've had some taste like carbonated vinegar and others like soda
