To go a step further - Last week Vice did covered the assisted suicide only to have 60 Min cover it yesterday
It was a well reasoned but ultimate flat episode. I understand having 22 minutes on a story every week that is usually complex can't be easy but after having like 2 months off I would think they would have had better stuff this season.
Most of the time, the big story runs way too long imo. Wish it was closer to 15 min and they had more quick hitters, which I usually find funnier/more entertaining than the big story
It's still hard to plan for big episode in advance, i.e. having two months off when the premise of the show is to cover only what has happened in the previous week.
That isn't really true though. Nothing was pressing about special taxing districts. They are generally just timely because of them being in the news recently but he can do things about anything. They are rarely about something from that week. That is what his first few minutes is for.
I howled at the "and probably wants to fuck it too" line And CBS morning "news" control yourselves, good god.
I liked the main story- the wall is a stupid idea and people who support it are stupid and need to be called out for being stupid
I thought it was very interesting. Didn't realize that before. Also his most Daily Show-esque episode ever.
oh yes. #ihaveneversatinapremiumlocation The Kingston Lounge @Kingston_Lounge Yes, this is me. Yes, the octopi are real. Yes, I hate the Evil Empire. #IHaveNeverSatInAPremiumLocation #Thursday
Where you can buy these delicious looking steaks made from the flesh of dead orcas who worked at Sea World.
the show buying $15 million of medical debt for $60,000 and promptly forgiving it is legitimately awesome and should be recognized and duplicated.
That is both inspirational and profoundly upsetting. It's like if the song "I Believe I Can Fly" merged with the rest of R. Kelly's life
Watched what I assume was most of the episode on Youtube (was a 29+ minute clip they uploaded) last night and really enjoyed the idea of giving "a donation has been made in your name" cards to my Trump supporter family. Specifically, I know my aunt doesn't believe in climate change so she'd get one for the Natural Resources Defense Council.
