sad thing is Chauncey seems more than capable of succeeding, but he can't stop getting in his own way
At least Ollie was somewhat engaging and funny. That Kam kid seems absolutely miserable. Miss Wags trying to help him in the computer lab and he is sitting there falling asleep. Screw that guy.
Chauncey Rivers is an absolute beast. He's going to be a problem for the SEC this year. Seems like a good kid too, I can't believe Georgia kicked him out for fucking weed. Jake Scott I thought Kirby wasn't going to continue Richt's BS drug test policies?
Could have guessed bryant was buddys idol without them including that bit. Wouldn't be shocked if they go back to cover him taking that wins record, all the new staff changes, and whatever shit heads they bring in next. Johnson is going to play power 5 football once he's eligible as a graduate transfer and probably do great. He seems to have it together.
Generally I'd be with ya, but I believe it with the Tech kid Dakota. He seems to have really bought in. I have 0 religious bones in me.
I don't really think in the modern era there is any way to get arrested 3 times and not get kicked out of school.
We've got a WR coach that's been popped for DUI three times, but only once while at Nebraska. Turns out he can recruit and is valuable. I agree with you for the most part fwiw. There are certain standards.
You can have separate incidents at different places. But three in one spot and I just don't see any way anyone keeps you on. Too public and too much information these days
Buddy throwing a temper tantrum after they won that game 63-49 was unbelievably pathetic, even by his standards. Dude you won by 2 TDs against a pretty good team. Someone should have beat his ass. Buddy also seems to believe EMCC is the only JC team with any talent, which is also just dumb.
I know its ironic as a ND to ask this but is christianity shoved down your throat as much as you see here in all of football or is it pretty extreme here at EMCC
I think he is a mental. He is lazy, but he has some mental issue. The dirty clothes, he doesn't know how to communicate with people, his teammates shit on him and he just takes it.
I don't know if I could last a week with them. They talk in Nike t-shirt slogans and dumb platitudes all day. Well, we either gonna do the ass kickin or get our asses kicked. God has a plan for me and I gotta respect it. I believe in you, you should believe in you too. You have championships in your blood.
this was something that i noticed during of All or Nothing the amount of time that these guys spend listening to speeches is absurd
Watched Episode 1 last night. I must say the way the suspensions were handled was ridiculous. Why was De'Andre Johnson suspended when he was in the Press Box, same thing for the coaches who were also presumably in the Press Box with him. Especially when Buddy wasn't suspended.
Yeah, I wish they had explained the rationale behind that. I get wanting to punish them severely. I remember when that video came out it was bananas. But, if anything, you suspend Buddy and every player you can ID that did anything. Banning recruits who were at the game is ridiculous. Bigger story, as far as I'm concerned, was how disorganized Buddy was. He knew what the situation was going to be, but he wasn't prepared at all. He was trying to call plays that hadn't been installed yet. He's arguing with his play signaler about shit. You go into that game with 2/3 formations, 4/5 run plays, 4/5 passing plays and execute the shit out of them.
Especially with a QB like that kid who just fucking sucked. When he said he threw a 93 MPH fastball, I instantly wondered why he gave up baseball. He is just god awful and it was clear why he probably didn't even have a D2 offer. I think Johnson had already enrolled at EMCC and was taking a RS so that he'd have 3 years to play 3 when he went back to FBS. Even though he was clearly the best QB they had from the moment he walked onto campus over that Miss. State walk on and JF3 in 2015. These games are streamed live on the internet and you had the camera crew from the show, they could have probably determined if anyone stayed on the sidelines and not have suspended them. That said, the HC always needs to be suspended for that sort of thing.
They submitted the tapes they had to show who did what. It was a big part of last year. The league didn't give a fuck and suspended who they wanted
There is some irony in juco players, featured in a show called Last Chance U no less, being punished for the head coach trying to run up the score in a previous season I didn't like DJ Law very much but there is no reason to call a play for him that would end up in other team's boundary at that point in that game.
They don't address it in the show so not a spoiler really, but that backup QB was like 6-0 for EMCC, drafted 14th round by the Padres this last MLB draft.
Wow, so he made a really, really bad life decision in choosing to go then Juco route to play football over just taking the money to play baseball. He doesn't seem athletic enough to switch to another position, and his mechanics are just god awful so he's never going to sniff anything above a local Semi-Pro football league.
Yes sorry if my post was confusing but he's in his first year of minor league baseball after being drafted last month.
The religion stuff seemed great for the Texas Tech kid, and I'm sure the Bible study group that the OC ran helped some people, but the way religion is done in the south seems counterproductive. If being outwardly religious becomes a requirement to exist in polite society it becomes too easy to either fake or become complacent about. And it also doesn't mean anything. Its like saying the Pledge of Allegiance in school. Sure, its a good thing but when you make it a group routine every day it loses a lot of its meaning.
You're probably right but it's interesting to see his stats after watching the season: Spoiler 47/74, 63.5%, 599 yards, 6 TDs, 1 INT, 44 carries, 165 yards, 9 TDs
Yeah, it didn't seem like he was that bad but they definitely tried to edit it to where the first game looked like they were trotting out a middle school team
I was only half paying attention when they were telling the story but did Wright's fiance get an abortion without telling him or did something happen during the pregnancy?
