It was fucking hilarious when the cop wanted to arrest Buddy for swearing. Jesus christ dude theres a camera in your face.
Man, I just watched Undefeated. What a complete 180 from that asshole at EMCC. That moment where they tell the kid hes getting his entire college education paid for was awesome as hell. Really moving to watch that coach truly fill that father role for all those kids. Awesome awesome story. Highly recommend it.
Yeah Ice Harris was an assistant and responsible for the remote control rant. He coached Booker T Washington a few times and I think works at Miami now.
Funny to see how much respect the players, assistant coaches, and emcc employees lost for buddy Wonder if this documentary hurts their recruiting
Not sure if it was my Netflix fucking up or not, but the subtitle about Ollie probably not getting a 2.5 stayed on the screen for like the last 15 minutes of the last episode. Seemed like an extra kick in the dick to the kid.
How many different uniforms does this school have? The football team must eat up half of the county budget.
it's less than an hour to starkville. I google mapped because I had the same question while watching. iirc there are smaller cities closer than that too.
oh I'm sure, just googled it because you mentioned it. originally I just looked at the map and saw starkville which I recognized.
The casinos in Philadelphia should be pretty close to Scooba. Nice golf course and some decent restaurants.
Meridian is like 30-40 minutes south of Scooba. It's a shithole but it and the outlying areas has about 80k people. Decent size for Mississippi. Would imagine most EMCC employees commute from there or Philadelphia (population 7k), which is about 40 minutes to the west. The largest town in Kemper County is DeKalb, which has 1000-1100 people. They're building a massive power plant there but it's become a huge clusterfuck and is way over budget.
Is everyone mad at the coach because he said thug? I thought he handled everything with the fight about as well as you could.
Thanks to Siemens and union guys probably. I only say that because I worked for them and one of my former coworkers worked at that plant too.
Just finished undefeated. Thanks for the recommendation. As everyone stated its a complete 180 from this show. Only thing I didn't like was someone cutting onions beside me at the end.
Undefeated dude was a good father, coach, businessman and human being. Pretty much the definition of a role model. Hope he is still doing well
Cried during undefeated Obviously he made the best choice for his family but I hate he had to stop coaching that HS team
Haven't scrolled down yet to see if already posted but I believe Ice left UM and went back to Booker T Washington last year. He may have left already, though. He changes jobs more than any coach in the state.
Maybe fatherhood is making me soft, but if I wouldn't have fought tears back so hard, I would've cried like a baby at the end of undefeated. Got a lump in my throat and was misty as hell.
Quick google search tells me he went to college to study music. Now he's a motivational speaker and coaches youth football Really surprising considering he had one of the quickest tempers I've ever seen. Good for him
Watched it with my dad, who was also my high school Coach. My mom walked in and saw both of us crying, with the most confused look on her face
I just watched Undefeated after seeing it mentioned ITT and I am so glad I did. There are tears running down my cheeks and I wasn't chopping onions. Holy shit was that beautiful and powerful. It's been a while since I've been this moved.
Another that just finished undefeated. Whew that was a lot if crying and tears. That is why I love sports and that is the difference a true leader can make in someone's life.
