Need help...is this a weed that will be killed by selective herbicides? Only have this kn one area of my new sod and it's shit left over that was buried deep below the surface the installers scraped. I thought it was centipede grad but I don't think so.... I'm mowing for yhe first time this weekend and might try to hit these guys with some selectibe weed killer.
Looks like nutsedge. Broadleaf herbicide won’t do it. Very difficult to kill. Looks at what your local college extension recommends for control.
Bad Boy mowers are made just up the road from us so no Big Dog dealer is within an hour of me. And Spartan (same guy who made the bad boy before selling the company)
BTW My dealer closed up soon after I bought mine, about 4 years ago Hasn't been an issue cause all I've ever had to do was change oil and replace blades
There is like a 5x15 patch of them. Would take days. Plus I tried this and didn't seem to be able to get the roots
This is what google says. https://sodsolutions.com/weed-contr...f you have a zoysia,if it is applied properly.
Anyone have nitrogen pills they give to their dogs that actually work? I might have to try to retrain him to piss in one spot
First mow? FML, I've been having to mow once a week for several months or this shit gets outta control
My lawnmower died. I've replaced the pull cord, sparkplug and filter. I've drained the gas and sprayed the shit out of it out of the carburetor with carb and choke cleaner. I've checked the oil. If I let it sit for a while it'll start and mow a couple rows, then it stalls and won't start back up again. I think I need to rebuild the carburetor or get a new mower.
Briggs and Stratton 3.5 hp engine. Might be 15-20 years old. I got it 2nd hand, and he thought it would have died already.
What were you using for this? Searched the last few posts but didn’t see. I’m thinking of buying one but a battery operated one would be nice even if it takes a couple rounds.
It's a good bit more expensive to get the cordless version, but it's worth it if you have a sizable lawn. By the time I would've bought enough extension cord to cover my front yard, there wouldn't have been much difference.
hot enough here (105ish) that my fertilizer literally exploded. Put it down in the morning, and by late afternoon, the granules had crumbled/exploded like popcorn.
Really begging to get this thread watch-listed with that combo of keywords just throw in a “where can I get some…” and maybe some assorted religious jargon and you’ll have a stew going
I mowed my yard less than 12 hours before this photo. I actually thought the cottonwood was about done, but still shit all over the yard. It looked like a dusting of snow had fallen prior to mowing.
weeds are fine, y'all need to just chill out turn away from this right-wing lawn ideology while u still can
First cut, two weeks post dethatching. Still recovering in a couple areas, but looking super thicc in most.
I mean, I'd bet "nice lawns" in an obsessive way has right wingers probably beating our dems by 20pts
i am not entirely serious about either of these things, or basically anything ever but having moved around, i've seen that political ideas bleed into how ppl do their yards, in terms of weed management, insects, native vs nonnative vs invasive, etc
