He wasn’t even on the field for stretches of that game. Have to imagine Duke changes up their defensive matchups in the 2nd half
ND will need at least 12 to pull this out. The struggles Duke are having on offense is masking NDs struggles in 6v6. 2 loose ball in front of the cage and an empty net 10 man ride goal
I don’t know about you guys but I was happy with this being a boring ass lacrosse game. That was much more fun
Illegal save by 44 but I won’t say anything I was shocked Duke didn’t make a bigger deal of it in the moment. Insane it’s discussed coming out of the commercial
This program was due. This team was due. Happy for them getting over that hill. Had to run the gauntlet to do it.
The whole “revenge tour” narrative is probably stupid and forced, but after losing only to Virginia this season (twice) and losing two title games to Duke, it had to be this route.
Also, the best high school lacrosse prospect in history and “best player in the country” had 2 man up goals against ND this year Spoiler i know he’s great and he’ll probably lead them to a championship next year, but allow me this right now
I was already crafting the argument that ND should be crowned national champion regardless since they’re the only team to beat every team on their schedule. It was compelling imo
Congrats to our ND posters, definitely the most active fan base here. Kavanagh kids are tough as nails but if you told me ND would win a title with Pat having one assist and one shot I’d tell you you were out of your mind. Complete team game today, glad they avenged last year’s NCAA snub.
Also lacrosse is maybe the most insular sport in men’s ncaa. It’s something like 8 teams that have ever won a championship. I don’t want them to have success, but Michigan making great progress this year is great for the game. And Utah making it into the tournament, Ohio state (even if a down year) and Penn State having an incredible bounce back (and probably should have been playing today…) - p5 football schools investing in the game is great for the sport. Really hoping to see more movement west (maybe SC joining the b1g gets them to officially add the sport)
She won 8 in 9 or 10 years earlier this decade but hadn’t won in 11 years. And Stugotz’s daughter is part of that group now
It looks like an attempt to prevent full knee extension, which could be hamstring or a posterior capsular injury. Can't say I've ever seen that technique before, but i am no athletic trainer.
That’ll be interesting to see where he goes. I know ND and Duke are both set at attack, don’t know about Virginia, Syracuse or Carolina as far as the ACC goes. He’ll be a great addition wherever he ends up
PLL on ABC right now. Never really gotten into it despite trying, but it’s fun watching high level pro lacrosse and I enjoy having it on right after the college season ends and you get plays like this
