No they brought pretty much all important pieces back outside of the goalie. They really struggled against Maryland, but otherwise have been ok. I think they lost their face off guy today midway through the game and that swung it
Positive: Syracuse is going to lose to Albany Negative: Further harm to ACC lacrosse, cementing the fact that ACC will get only 1-2 teams in the tournament this year
I thought they were then best team in the last 5 years last year, and then they’d got tripped up by uva. They are just incredible this year. I’m honestly counting it as one of big “wins” this year only losing to them by a couple on a related note: I’m going to not so fucking mad that this ND team doesn’t make the tournament bc we were too slow to change our offense. Since inserting Jake Taylor as our 3rd attackmam, we’ve been nearly unstoppable. Just a totally different lax team.

Also so good to have Ryan Boyle back doing corner lacrosse. He moved over to nbc with the pll, but now that that’s on ESPN, he’s back calling college games. One of the best color guys imo
Also the ACC is wild (in a bad way) this year. Duke took it to them on Thursday in a game that was even more lopsided than the final score of 17-8. Would guess there’s two spots available, so these last couple weeks of the regular season will be interesting. Cannot wait to see how the Ivy shakes out. and today seems like the last minor test for this Maryland team in b1g play

Just realized OSU was not able to get the game at home right before the football spring game like they have in previous years. That was always the best attended regular season lax game of the year. Don’t know if it would have made a difference, but I do feel like it could have helped down the stretch. Maryland is just too good though
#Notre Dame Fighting Irish shut out North Carolina for about 40 minutes in the middle of the game tonight. Went from down 3-2 to winning 12-5 so frustrating bc this team is finally playing like a top 4 team, but so front loaded the schedule, before we figured out the face off, that we need to win out to have a chance at making the tournament.
Saw that. Chances are slim he actually makes it, but I’ll be rooting for him. That would be an amazing story. And yes, he’s a freak of an athlete
Also, Ivy League played some great lacrosse today. Cornell took down Princeton to claim a share of the title and Yale took down Harvard in OT to keep Harvard out of the Ivy tournament and (hopefully for ND) out of the ncaa tournament.
Always forget he’s from Oregon too (that’s not related to him transferring, just a “fun fact”) Will be very interesting to see where he goes next

Eric The Viking malaver having a nice night and really upped his game this season. He’s going to be a star for Maryland next year. Probably wearing the #1 if I had to guess
He has found his groove in the offense. He was always an attack guy, and Tillman has moved him around between attack and midfield, to find him more time. He excels at X, though, and has been getting more time there. He’s a natural point guard type.
Denver nova was a great lacrosse game. Fortunately nova pulled it out I’m really looking forward to #Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs #Ohio State Buckeyes on btn here in about 10 minutes. Think both are in the ncaa tournament regardless, but it autos be a great game anyway
Georgetown winning comfortably over Marquette so far. I gave them a lot of shit heading into our matchup in March, but these guys are good. That defense is the best I’ve seen in years

Feel really bad for Utah. Thought they had that first ncaa tournament appearance locked up Got for Bobby Mo though. Beat their old head coach to win the conference
I also think we made it through championship weekend without any bid stealers. Maybe Jacksonville gets an at large (I doubt it)? Closest was nova against Georgetown.
