I wish I could give more than one like. Btw, RDS is showing some sort of mini-putt cup featuring Carmoni next week. They spread it out over 4 days, I think.
Bleu Nuit (English: "Midnight Blue"[1]) was a television series that was broadcast late night on the Télévision Quatre Saisons, or TQS, television network (now called Noovo) in Quebec, Canada, from 1986 until 2007. The content of the series was softcore pornography, mostly European films. The series was popular with both francophones and anglophones living in Quebec, as well as in other provinces in Canada that received the network. Bleu Nuit was considered a part of Quebec culture.[2]
Emmanuelle 3 was my favorite. It was always a challenge to find a good place to hide my vhs cassettes so nobody would pop it in the vhs by mistake, it was also always important to not forget it In after.
Used to sneak downstairs at 11:30 to watch. Good old TQS!! When it moved from channel 11 I was crushed until I found it over on 5. Thought I’d lost me some Emanuelle. I remember City TV from Toronto started putting on soft core shit on Saturdays too. Bunch of Playboy stuff.
Hey: Anybody want 2 passes for Friday at Osheaga? I will sell them to you at a slight discount. Our group now prefers Saturday.
coming in for Osheaga at the end of the month. Will be with 5 people, mainly there to have a good time. Fast moves, probably no upscale dinners or anything. Anything I need to do? Haven't been back since 2014. We will be in the Mile End neighborhood near La Banquise
The obvious smoked meat stop, Reuben’s, Schwartz or dunn’s. My favorite is Reuben’s. The Nelligan rooftop is a nice place to get some drinks but it’s crowded. I haven’t been in a while also so not too sure on the rest Champ
Schwartz's was fine, but didn't blow me away way back when. We definitely intend to hit up a deli, fairmount / st. vitaeur several days, and either Romados or (more likely) Ma Poule Mouillée because Champ said it was much better. We liked Pub Le Sainte-Élisabeth and will likely go back, but don't have any other drinking establishments lined up. But we intend to drink a lot and eat a lot of drunken food when possible. Also, anything I need to know about dispensaries? From Colorado, so I assume no big deal, but we will want a joint or two to bring into the festival. Weed is permitted as long as it is in QDC packaging. Just wanted to know if there was anything weird/unique about MTL dispensaries.
Was in Montreal last month and planned on going to the Time Out Market. Kiddos screwed up that plan. Dying to go. It’s the food court at the Eaton Centre on St Catherine. But it’s apparently very good, high end. https://www.timeoutmarket.com/montreal/en/
it looks like it, like a market with a few solid restaurants making quality food but simple. i love this concept, if it is exactly that I will definitely swing by the next time I go
And enjj said it in proper form for Quebec speaking. You can go different ways with that in quebeccers je l’sais pas Je l’sais tu moi calisse etc
where would you like to go right now? La banquise, les toquées or just straight to my hotel room Repeat that line enough and you will find one lady that will hook you up on some drugs and sex
Recs on best bar hopping areas for people in late 20s, early 30s? Looking for maybe two areas and a bar in each area to start as a jumping off point. We like divey, but doesn't have to be
Wife and I are going first weekend in Sept. for a wedding. We'll have all day Thur, Fri and Sun for things to do. Any recommendations or restaurant recs? We're staying downtown Champ
Heading up for a few days leading into the new year, which will be our first Montreal trip, staying right on the border of Old Montreal and Chinatown. I think our plan is to do a couple of nice dinners (maybe Garde Manger and Le Club Chasse et Pêche?) then do street/ethnic food for other meals? Any must do recommendations this time or year for a late 30’s couple that’s in to most everything? A good friend recommended Bar Le Mal Nécessaire for cocktails and Messorem for beers. Basing a lot of what we’re doing on what Bourdain did on his visits, but would absolutely appreciate any tips to make our trip more memorable. Many thanks!
Ma Poule Mouillée get some cheap bagels also, if you like tattoos, MR250 was a great dive bar with a parlor inside of it. get late night poutine at any variety of spots.
Yeah, definitely going to grab bagels and hit up a Jewish deli. Really looking for any under the radar street eats, dive bars, and ethnic joints plus anything we may enjoy during the day that isn’t eating or drinking lol. MR250 looks exactly like the type of spot we’re looking for, so thanks for that!
since it was right by our airbnb, we went a few times. when we finally decided to get tattoos there, it was sunday, and the tattoo chair was closed. can't really go around just focusing on a few awesome areas of town, such as mile-end, and just stumbling around based on google maps.
we went to a great dumpling house in china town. seems like the options there are hit and miss, but I am sure some people have some great recs for a good spot around there.
