Holy sweet lord at Group A, IWC gods Albus Nox is playing G2 if they win they secure the #1 seed from group A. CLG and Rox will play in the last game of the night to decide who also will advance to the quarterfinals.
Uzi was on a personal mission to force doublelift into retirement. His Ezreal today was gross. Also after today SSG looks like the scariest team at the tournament. Crown is nasty and can dominate any mid in the world.
And then there were none. SSG sweeps C9 out of the quarterfinals, 3-0. SKT struggles with RNG in the first game, then takes the series 3-1. Bang did absolute work, showing up the best laning AdC in the world, Uzi.Good series.
Waiting on the fam to go to bed. Gonna be a while still. This nigga...gets on at 1am during the week; weekend rolls around and he's on before the sun goes down.
How am I supposed to be mad at the game for an NA/EU team being unable to put together a string of good games against their Asian counterparts?
should have left SKT and ROX on opposite sides of bracket, would have made a killer finals. SKT just going to punk SSG.
Yeah SKT barely pulled out that last series. Whereas SSG has been pretty dominant thus far. I'm thinking the pressure from the winning streak might give SKT the first win. But then it is all SSG from there.
SSG never played anyone. Even in group they had the easiest(RNG, Splyce, TSM) and in knockout stages they got C9 and H2K. SKT had the most balanced group and easily a tougher road to the finals with RNG and ROX. I'm banking on SSG not having faced adversity once going against them and SKT, playing the tougher schedule and being seasoned champs, being too much for them.
This is where you lose me SKT played C9, IMAY, and Flash wolves. Outside of Splyce I think SSG had the harder group RNG and TSM weren't a joke. RNG took one game from SKT in quarters and SSG crushed RNG. Outside of ROX and H2K which is basically comparing the minor leagues to the Bigs you can base both teams in the finals play against the same opponents aka SSG against C9 and RNG and SKT vs C9 and RNG.
Yeah SSG has looked best at worlds. That doesn't mean they win tomorrow, but their path has been more impressive imo. Crown has been beasting, He's the type of mid that MAY be able to trade evenly with faker. Also this was awesome: http://www.theplayerstribune.com/faker-league-of-legends-worlds-unkillable/
Jungle/top decides this imo. Maybe just top on its own. SKT has the ADC by a country mile and there's no way Faker is going to be showed up at Worlds, at best you'd hope to break even. CuVee's good but what happens when he's too aggressive against Duke? I just see SKT dictating too much and when you play their game they will punish you.
I agree honestly I think Cuvee handles Duke he has been known to just not show up, and I think if SKT is smart they don't even use Blank he is seems like he is in way over his head, and Ambition could easily show him up.
Spoiler It's over now I don't know if SSG can come back from such a heart breaking defeat in game 1 they should have gotten stomped that game.
Is it a patch thing or are there always this few kills per game. It's like 35 minute of ward/dewarding
SKT's rep is punishing mistakes hard so SSG played defensive almost the entire time and waited for the opposite to happen.
Bringing in Bengi was a nice tactic for that one. Faker went full Faker on that, securing objectives by running people off with his ult. Really clean game.
that game 3 comeback was legit, though, never seen a game go so long at that level of play. SSG played their hearts out and almost pulled off a miracle. kkoma is going to say good job for like 5 seconds and then yell at them for an hour for not getting the shutout.
still think SSG cruising through their play hurt them, especially against the ultimate methodical team. SKT punished them in the long game in 1 and 5(and 3 really, at least until around 50 minutes when they blew it). nobody plays SKT fast, SSG would have been better served preparing their late game play to match SKT because a lot of their pick comps were so weak in the late. also oof that Trundle. nothing you can do about him unless its 4v1.
Watching him walk in to stop poppy from splitpushing, down in health, and winning trades, was continually entertaining.
