I was beat when I posted that but the inner workings of that thing are amazing. LEGO pricing has obviously gone up with its popularity over the years but the quality and design are worth every penny.
The pic I meant to post didn't work first try. It's the release schedule for Star Wars and there are some really good ones(Namely the clone wars helmets)
Started the new lighthouse build tonight. First set with a motor we’ve built. Pretty cool. Only a couple bags in but thought this little excerpt was cool from bag 1.
I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered it for $300 at Lego.com. I’ll feel fine paying more knowing I’ve secured it.
We move into our new house next weekend. When we do, Mrs Ocho and myself will be starting the Home Alone house set
I’ve also reverted into 8-10 year old me and asking for numerous Lego sets for Christmas because I can’t think of anything else.
Brb, going outside to structurally compromise my foundation so I can cram a lego landspeeder in there.
Went in to the Lego store last weekend. The Boutique Hotel and Haunted Mansion really caught my eye. Hope Christmas brings you or your kids/family new sets you can build. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/...-PLA-SHOP-BP-SP-RN-SMART_SHOPPING_BESTSELLERS
We bought it last weekend and haven’t started. Lots of down time in the week after though so hoping to make progress.
Every year my wife buys me a Lego set from somewhere we’ve visited together in the past (Eiffel Tower, Empire State Bldg, etc). I guess she exhausted all the sets from places we’ve been so she got me a thing we’ve seen together. Pretty cool and I didn’t even know this one existed. Excited to put it together.
That makes more sense. Was going to ask what you did with a 4+ foot Eiffel Tower. Edit: looked up the dimensions…it’s 4’11”
Wife got me the trench run diorama for Christmas. She’s got the Central Perk set waiting for her at my parents. She’s the one. Merry Christmas Lego friends.
Got the Central Perk one last year. It’s a cool little set if you’re a Friends fan. Partner and I got the bonsai tree and the succulents sets, respectively, from my mom.
When me and the Mrs were dating, we had a house where I had a bedroom as a man cave. Now that we have a little one I don’t have much space at all, so I stick to smaller builds I can put on my desk. Eventually I’ll get a shelf to put somewhere.
partner and I are in separate houses for the time being but most of the large ones stay at her house. They’re displayed in random places around the house.
Oh, I got the light kit for my Batwing yesterday. All the Amazon reviews say it’s kind of a pain to assemble but the pictures look awesome.
Got the longneck from Horizon. Very excited. Want to do builds with my daughter once she’s old enough. No clue where I’ll display it.
Just kopped the pyramid of Giza. Probably the first lego I've bought in a decade+. Super excited. Decided I'm going to try to get a handful of sets from places I've been. Looks like most that I want have been retired. Venice. Sydney. Tokyo. Don't love the Singapore set, but it's relatively cheap so may snag. The Assembly Square and Boutique Hotel are right up my alley as well.
