Right, it sucks now but when LFC is getting a rest and City, Chelsea, Arsenal, maybe Spurs are playing it'll be worth it. The 2 legged semis, playing a final in the middle of a season, hate the league cup.
So I know correlation does not necessarily equal causation, but Liverpool haven't conceded a goal this year without Henderson being on the field.
I’m sorry but with this squad being happy to lose in the league cup is dumb. We should be wanting to win everything. We should always want to beat Chelsea.
I wanted to win, but when Chelsea scored I didn't find that I was particularly bothered. The best outcome is to win the League Cup. The second best is to lose as quickly as possible.
This guy is happy to lose in a stupid cup that nobody gives two shits about Next year is anybody gonna say “Wow they won the EPL, UCL, and Caraboa Cup”? FUCK NO BECAUSE NOBODY CARES Get over that our backups lost to Eden Hazard and move on
Because it’s not entirely backup players If Mane would have gotten hurt....you’re telling me you wouldn’t be a little angry that it was during a bullshit cup game? Give me a break
Also if you progress to the semifinals, its stops being back up players and you start getting games moved around and it fucks you down the stretch
When he got subbed against Southampton I figured he'd be out until City. Hopefully he's at least back for that.
If just bruising you’d think he’d be playing. If he had a broken rib the club would have said it already.
Cheslea’s tactics and energy have been much better. Chelsea’s midfield overrunning ours. Still have had chances but Hazard looks good for two today so we need to convert
I thought Chelsea were better but honestly it might have just been Hazard. Feels like Sturbridge absolutely stole a point. Who is gonna be the first to say it given how the front 3 are currently playing...?
This is a crazy and intense story. I only know Grobbelaar from watching old Liverpool clips of him doing weird and charming shit on youtube. Had no clue he was drafted and fought in Zimbabwe War of Liberation.
For me it's the crazy chip against West Brom. The one against Sevilla in the Europa Final is up there too.
The Sevilla goal is just such a great piece of skill, but that also was to give us the lead in a European final. I still remember the 3 handballs Sevilla got away with in the first half (two were egregious) which would have totally killed the game. Instead we wilted. Idk if lineups are out but I hope Naby is back in. Come on!!!!
The one where Sturridge shot and the guy knelt down and stopped it with his hand.....thats when I knew we were fucked.
