They waste a lot and I'm all about being the underdog that overachieves, but I would love to be in City's position right now. Now United is a blueprint for how NOT to do it.
Waiting for who you want and spending big in the summer is great if you are assured a top 4 finish. But if you finish outside of CL places we end up looking like donks and that super sweet summer list of available players gets smaller and smaller.
Here is one story on it. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2018/...to-discussions/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
If you want to be a fan of a team that is backed solely by a dirty country, should just do it. Fuck United but all their revenue is legit.
Right. I hate United as much as the next guy but they saw where the Premier League was going in the early 90's and capitalized on it big time leaving the rest of the league behind.
Their sporting director is a shit head, even with Keita sitting out of practice I'm not hugely optimistic this gets done. If it does I expect its because we wildly over paid

Only issue with paying the money would be he cannot play CL, but we sure could use him to secure top 4. Worth 15M to try and secure that revenue? I think so.
I just wish we'd go out and get Mahrez. Seems like you could get him and Keita in early for what Monaco are asking for Lemar.
Liverpool would probably have to pay around a £15 million premium to bring in a quality midfielder now rather than in the summer anyway. They may want Lemar, but they don't seem to want to pay £90 million for him.
Over the past 3 years, I wonder how many games Sturridge, Lallana, and Henderson have all been fit for at the same time.
