Of course he's a terrible Salah replacement, he's a midfielder not a winger. But unfortunately he was the best option we had today. He'll be good depth next season.
Ox would have easily slotted into that position. Lallana or Gini into midfield. We need at least 1 “excess” player so someone can rest/rotate if injured.
That Firmino pass in the first half to Mane was filth, Varane may be the only defender in the world that could have cut that out.

I don't wish this on many people as I know how much it sucks but I hope Ramos tears an Achilles. What a dirty POS. He knew what he was doing . We all know it already but what the actual fuck, Karius? Sign a keeper. A complete gut punch but had you offered me the finals 3 months ago, I would have gladly accepted and considered it a win. Though this game hopefully reinforces to everyone in the club how we need to strengthen the squad in some key areas, including depth.
I really don’t know what to say. 2 howlers and a world class goal. We were the better team by far with Salah on the pitch. By far 2nd best with him off the pitch because we don’t have a back up. I get Karius owning up to it but there is no chance he can be our starting keeper next year.
