So the tickets I got my family which I thought were nosebleeds are actually 7th row, sitting right where Mo will be patrolling the right wing in the second half. Have some pictures but can’t figure out how to get them up. Will take 1-0 at halftime. Fair score line imo.
Being frustrated after a win away at Spurs is a nice luxury to have. Really wish Robertson's cross that hit the bar went in.
VVD kept Kane in his pocket the whole day, I think part of the reason why Gomez was left exposed a few times. Got the 1 in 4 game where Mane has blinders on. Would have had 4 if he had his head up and made the right pass on the break. Hopefully Firmino’s eye is ok. 5 games 15 points. Second or third hardest game of the PL season out of the way. YNWA
Vertonghen was kind of a cunt all game. Both arms around VVD before the first goal, he basically arm tackled Mo halfway through the second half, grabbing Mane around the leg and bringing him down and then the Firmino shit.
I'm gonna be irrationally angry when we finally drop points but it's pretty awesome to be in this position
I'm having a lot of fun talking shit to my brother who worships Tottenham. He sent me some message board conspiracy theory video wanting a penalty in extra time. Fuck him. Don't even care.
FYI game is on TNT (lol wut) at 3 pm. Done no research but I’m prepared to gag at Bleacher Report broadcasting UCL soccer and watch in silence. Bobby Big Dick on the squad so I assume he’s starting. Typical radio silence until I can watch tonight. Let’s go boys!!!!
I think for a long time I felt like Henderson wasn't suited for the 6 but I couldn't figure out exactly why we just seemed worse when hew as in there. Having really watched last year and this, the difference between him and Gini (and Can) is he just has no ability to take the ball on the turn and move it quickly. Also I don't know if its mentality or ability but he can't receive the ball under pressure and retain possession by dribbling out of a tight space. From a numbers perspective our defensive record is demonstrably worse when Hendo is playing the 6. I wish Klopp would just move Henderson to the 8 and let him run and press further up the field. He'd actually be really useful in that role as a late game sub. Henderson can actually do what people think Lallana can do.
