Gerrard being floated as a replacement for everton according to athletic. While I will hate that if it happened, that's a good mid table stepping stone job
I don’t even know what I’d think of Stevie took the Everton job. It’s the Athletic so I’m inclined to actually think there’s a shred of evidence or something, but on its face, it will never happen. looks like Trent going to EURO. Maybe best of both, he gets to go but probably only plays 30-90 minutes.
i just don’t see him taking it. He’s just set up to fail. He’s going to be expected to be 5-7 on the table and that fan base is going to cut him no slack if he slips up.
The Everton fan base? They wouldn’t take Stevie G unless he delivered them a title. again, I think it’s nonsense, but the Athletic isn’t a rag so maybe Everton left Stevies agent a message which was never returned or something.
They'd probably want to look at Elliot in preseason before deciding what to do about the 6th attacking spot
I hope they play Trent in midfield so I can see what it is like in games that matter but that I don’t really care
Was hoping he could get some rest and have a chip on his shoulder in the fall. Now I just hope he doesn’t get hurt.
Trent Alexander-Arnold gave England an injury scare barely a week before the European Championship by hobbling off with a suspected left thigh injury in a warmup match on Wednesday The Liverpool right back sustained the injury just before full time of the 1-0 win over Austria while clearing the ball with his left foot near the touchline. No Austria player was near him. Alexander-Arnold immediately signaled to come off, and ended up being helped around the perimeter of the field by a member of England's medical staff at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. Alexander-Arnold was seen shaking his head. "It's not a good sign to see him have to walk off as he did," Southgate told ITV television. "We'll know more in the next 24-48 hours. "Let's see how Trent is first and then we'll go from there," the manager added. Alexander-Arnold was one of four right-backs selected by Southgate in the 26-man squad for Euro 2020, so the team does have plenty of cover if he is ruled out. Forward Jack Grealish also needed an ice pack after he came off in the second half but the player said it was just a bit of stress to his shin and he was not concerned. Southgate rested Manchester City and Chelseaplayers after last Saturday's Champions League final in Portugal, with Jesse Lingard starting a day after being cut from the tournament squad. Bukayo Saka scored the winning goal for England, which has one more warmup left -- against Romania on Sunday -- before the tournament starts.
Maybe I’m overthinking it. Absolutely gutted and devastating are different. VVD’s injury was devastating. I do feel for TAA. When I first read the quote I had to reread it, because when I read devastated I swore I read 4-6 weeks wrong.
From the little that I've seen PSG doubled the Barca offer, and Gini was taking a slight pay cut to go to Barca
Does anyone have a redmantv account? They're putting out a multipart documentary about Jordan's 10 years. Tagging Pasta88 for the Sunderland roots
The Tielemans links make sense if he didn’t cost like £70 million but he does. We trying to ball on a budget here.
Yeah we are somehow the only club that’s poor.. like I said a while back.. when it came to buying players champions league meant nothing
Under these owners we will always seek value. I like tielemans and bissouma a lot but not for the prices being quoted.
