Sell Migs and loan Karius out to a bundesliga lower tier side. He's done in England probably forever.
I suspect Fekir is going to drag on until deadline day because aulus is a prick and it’s what he does
Our goalkeeping has been embarrassing for 10 years. We bought the best available and now have Bobby another Brazilian buddy so win win.
There was all that talk about how we wanted a Coutinho replacement, and that Shaqiri wasn't a Fekir replacement. So I'm going to be optimistic and believe the no another signings is a negotiating tactic with Lyon. Firmino, Salah, and Mane combined for 91 goals in all competitions last year. It would be great if they could match that, but our next highest goal scorers were Coutinho with 12, Can with 6, and Ox with 5. Got 2 from Solanke and Ings. I'd imagine VVD will score a few headers, and Keita and Shaqiri should be able replace Can and Ox's output. But Liverpool really do need another attacking threat if we are going to push City. While I'm fond of Sturridge and Lallana, not sure Liverpool should be relying on them to stay healthy with the investment they've put in everywhere else.
The pressure is on now. This is a team that has to win a major trophy. I hope FSG are committed to keeping this iteration together for 2 years before cashing in on Mo and others. The CL money and commercial growth from this past season should hopefully finance a 2 year run.
Last year's run in the Champions League was especially fun because City put the EPL title to bed in November. And every right thinking Liverpool fan assumed Klopp would need another year to build the team. Going straight at City in the 3 games after proved intent. Lot of fun being a Liverpool fan right now.
I think him and Migs will be gone. Grabara has been impressive, so he will be the young keeper in the bunch.
The press say what the club tells them. They aren't going to say, ya we desperately need a #10 still. With Ox out our midfield is Keita, Fabino, Henderson, Milner, Lallana, Gini. Gini is hurt and not even training with the team and Lallana and Henderson are made out of glass. No way FSG spends all of this money and then goes into the season a midfielder light.
If anyone is looking to go to the match on Sunday in Charlotte, hit me up. I've got 5 tickets we're looking to move. Multiple people had plans fall through.
I don't think this looks shopped or am I crazy? Edit: Decent shop I guess if not for his smallish head.
Mohamed Salah text message… Alisson has revealed he received a text from Mohamed Salah urging him to complete a move to Liverpool. Alisson played with Salah for one season at Roma but the pair appear to have built up a rapport. And the goalkeeper revealed the Egypt star told him to follow the same path he took last year. “We didn’t have that much contact after he left Roma. We met again in the game when we were up against each other [in the Champions League in April],” Alisson told Liverpoolfc.com. “Yesterday, he sent me a message saying: ‘Hey, what are you waiting for?’ As the negotiations were at an advanced stage, I replied to him straight away saying: ‘Calm down, I’m on my way!’ “I’m really happy to have the opportunity to play alongside him again. As well as being a great player, he is a huge character and a great person - which is the most important thing. “To be with these great people and players day to day is fantastic for me.” That Anfield atmosphere… Alisson has revealed that the Champions League semi-final at Anfield helped convince him to join Liverpool. “Yes, in part it did influence the decision,” Alisson told Liverpoolfc.com. “When you make an important decision like this it’s not just a decision to change clubs, it practically changes your entire life, my family’s life, my wife, my daughter. “That game definitely did have an influence but I also watched other games. I’ve seen other games where I could see the way Klopp had the team playing. “That has made me really excited to be part of this group. Apart from the fact that the club is massive, the players that have come through here and the titles won, hopefully I can play a part in the history being created here, win titles and be a part of the project that has been developed here in the past few years so we can see Liverpool rise once again.”
