With Wirtz, Kerkez and Frimpong done, this is all quite enjoyable.

My gut is we end up selling Elliott (sad), Kelleher, Nunez, Chiesa (along with some youths) and don’t do much more than a project winger unless we get the fuck you money for Diaz.

What does everyone think will be our starting XI? Wondering if Wirtz could be a false 9, or if we would potentially put him on the left wing. I think our 3 midfielders have good chemistry and played phenomenally for most of this past campaign so don’t love the idea of breaking them up. It’s a great problem to have, but I want our chemistry/vibes to remain high.

 

The amount of starting 11’s I’ve seen not including Szoboszlai is shocking. Wirtz off the left and a new CF with Kerkez for Robbo and Frimpong for Trent.

Yeah he should generally be a free 10 who nominally plays on the left.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 4-2-2-2 with him and Szobo as dual 10s

 

Cats aren’t yet hip to Wirtz replacing him in the team not Dom. So we need to keep a lid on it till the Saudis fork over €100m for him.
