I think of the current XI only Mo is likely to be sold on for anything other than an irrational amount. VVD, Allison, Fab all came here when they could have gone anywhere. Trent is homegrown, Robbo is Robbo, the midfield aren’t that good, Bobby is a system forward, and Sadio, everything you read is he’s not concerned with the “next level” of fame/money as long as we are competing for the league and UCL and he’s playing I do think Mo and maybe more so his agent will eventually push for the Madrid move.
Am I crazy or is there a pretty sizable Senegalese population in France? Not saying he’d push for a move or anything just a thought that at some point in his career it seems like a comfortable place to play
Nah I didn’t know the fixture was loved. I have their schedule linked to my phone and it updates within minutes when anything changes, but it’s still showing the match in two Saturdays. That was my confusion.
Would have guessed Ox instead of Keita in that lineup, but Keita used to play for Salzburg, so perhaps that is why he got the nod.
Mo’s touch has often not been the best (not terrible but not great) but he was always finishing his chances. So far today, not so much. He should have at least 1, maybe 2 already.
they need someone that can hold the ball up. The ref is letting them mug salah every time the ball comes to him
Instead of claiming this as a "hot take", I am instead going to claim it as a reverse jinx. Thanks for your support.
Only real concern I have at this point is keeping the CBs healthy and whether or not Brewster should go on loan in January to get minutes.
Klopp said Degsy was dealing with a cramp, and that’s why they took him out. Sure hope it isn’t anything more.
Good. Everyone shits on Lovren, but he'd legit start for Man City and United right now, and be Arsenal's best defender. A healthy Matip and fully fit Gomez are better, but he is more than fine next to VVD.
Degsy is what they call him on the Anfield Wrap podcast. Part of becoming a fan of Liverpool for me was listening to Scousers talk real fucking fast on the Anfield Wrap podcast using terms I couldn't even pick up in context when we were shit. Now 2x speed a decade later, "I'm fucking made up about the result. Mate next to me had a fucking cob on about Henderson the whole first half. I was out for a bevvy an we scored so I din't see it. But fucking limbs."
Great win and performance. Could have been 4 or 5. Mo had some disappointing finishes but god damn if his goal wasn’t one of the more superb finishes I’ve seen in a while. That angle, with his weak foot and the curve against him, was nuts. Naby makes a real positive tactical difference in this team that we need if we’re playing Hendo in the 6. His in between the lines play is unique to our midfield. His skills and Ox ability to carry the ball forward and score from distance are essential to our ability to rotate and win absent Fab. No great insight there but just so apparent the last 2 weeks. Hopefully rotation through December keeps them both healthy.
Really do wish we’d go out and get a CB on loan in January even if it’s a klavan level player. I don’t want to see Gini playing center back in games that matter
Wouldn’t mind brining in another RB, too. Gomez is not a RB, and it looks like we will need him at CB anyway. Bonus points if he can cover another position in the back four as well. But in reality, we’re not adding anyone in January at any position.
Good for an early morning laugh from the echo 08:16THEO SQUIRES Liverpool linked with Neymar Liverpool are said to be monitoring Neymar’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain ahead of a potential move according to reports in France. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Pull the other one. Hang on, what?! This isn’t a joke?! Someone’s actually written this?! Okay then, let’s run with it... Neymar celebrates a goal against Liverpool in a Nike shirt with the Jordan logo Le Parisien, cited by Sports Mole, claim the Reds are one of six clubs interested in signing the Brazilian alongside Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona. And PSG are said to be willing to sell Neymar for a measly £150m. What a bargain! Tell you what, if Neymar signs for Liverpool I’ll go take a swim in the Mersey. No chance!
