There's nothing to be mad at right now, but I'll be fairly disappointed if we don't end up with Werner. Who knows what is true but its come out he has a manageable release clause and wants to play at Liverpool. With Mo and Sadio going to Afcon next year you can't pass this up. Since the rumor is they have to trigger his release clause before May, I assume they wouldn't do it until the very last minute as to not cause any disruption with the team.
I read the article slightly differently. I saw it as saying there had to be a deal in place before the May deadline, not just triggering the release clause. Not sure if that is different or not, just commenting.
My only point was I expect them to keep things quiet as long as possible to not unsettle the team at all.
I’d expect Timo’s side to be quiet about any moves as long as they are in the hunt for the Bundesliga and champions league too.
Give me Timo, a left back, new contracts for Gini, Van Dijk, and Elliot. Sell Shaq, Wilson, Karius, and probably Grujić. Bring through Jones for Lallana, and Neco as Trent's back up. That'd be some tidy business.
I'm in favor of this. Saka might fancy his chances of getting past the second best Scottish left back. No way he shifts Kieran Tierney.
I like Zinchenko more than Mendy. Mendy is always hurt, he’s good but also makes some boneheaded mistakes.
When I watch Monaco in the Champions League run, Mendy and Mbappe were the stand outs. And when Mendy was healthy and first joined City, he looked like Alphonso Davies does now for Bayern. Then he got hurt. And I saw him wearing ripped up jeans too much. Now I think he is wild card of talent, that can change a game, but can't be trusted.
