Just watched the VVD injury, there some intent there by pickford, the leg coming back and hooking him was pretty fucked up
Guys, the club physio would not allow a player to continue if they diagnosed a torn ACL or even a potential torn ACL on the field. If you are arguing they could have walked around the field until full time, sure, they could have. They couldn’t have continued playing their position. If Thiagos ACL is done I’ll donate $50 For each of you on behalf of this thread to a Liverpool charity.
Physically, people can play sports with torn acl. Continuing to play isn’t evidence of no torn Acl. That’s the point.
Premier League losing one of the best players in the league to a reckless and dangerous challenge which they insist was fine because the flag went up a half second before is a bad look.
I know he’s still young but this is going to be the season we truly see what Joe Gomez can be made of.
I don’t think a game has ever affected me so negatively in any sport. Full on livid all day yesterday and today.
thiago was great. Between the officiating and Everton players actively trying in injure our players, never seen anything like it.
No player tries to actively injury another. That’s fucking stupid to think. Hell Pickford was looking at the ball the whole time. He’s just a shitty goalie and it was a freak accident. The ref complaint I fully understand. The frustration at the injuries/tackles I get. But he’s not TRYING to hurt him.
He was out of control and it’s not the first time. You can say he wasn’t trying to hurt anyone and that’s one way of looking at it. Another way to see it is Pickford playing out of control like that shows he’s effectively indifferent as to whether he hurts anyone.
And Pickford can’t face any suspension because he didn’t receive a red? That’s an actual rule? Such bullshit
