Joe’s career has just been marred with so many serious injuries it’s insane We need the winter transfer window now
We need to just pull everyone back. Fuck the Nations League. Euro or WC qualifying I could maybe understand but this is dumb.
18:42SEAN BRADBURY Gareth Southgate on Joe Gomez England boss is speaking now. First question is on Joe Gomez... Southgate: "I can't tell you how serious it is because he is yet to have scans. What was upsetting to see, he was in a fair bit of pain. There was nobody around him when the injury happened. I didn't like that element of it. "But we've just got to wait and see what the scans show. We're all hopeful for him that it's not what it might be. But it's not a good situation. I don't see him being involved in the games with us, that's for sure." He added: "We can't speculate the exact nature of the injury. It's not possible until we've seen scans. My immediate thoughts are with him. He's had some difficulties with injuries in the past. We're hoping and praying it is not going to be a long-term one. We'll just have to see." Guessing ACL or MCL
Ligaments attach bones to bones, and the MCL is designed to stabilize the knee by preventing the shin bone from moving to the side (creating a knocked-knee look) relative to the thigh bone. MCL injuries can occur by direct contact or by non-contact (when an athlete is running or jumping and then suddenly slows and changes direction or twists). This injury can occur at any age. Apology withdrawn
ok, I’ve never seen an MCL injury result from non-contact. And if there’s a non-contact MCL injury it means that’s the least of your worries.
With the massive outbreaks and spikes with COVID in Europe it’s just fucking insane that we’re having these international breaks. Add to it we’re squeezing all these other competitions into a tiny window coming off a non existent off season. It should have been postponed until spring when the fixture load slows down for more teams. Breaking teams up out of their club bubbles, sending them all over the place coming in contact across leagues and sending everyone home with a ‘good luck’. Beyond covid, soft tissue, muscular and other injuries are up significantly. We’re two years out from the next WC. National organizations can’t be making much revenue right now without spectators, viewership on them is down. National clubs that need to should cut back on hours and salaries at the top. Keep the league break to 2 weeks, one for recovery play CL or other competition midweek the second week. Or don’t and leave it as a two week recovery.
Remember when Roy made hendo practice injured because he wanted to test his resolve and he aggravated the injury and was out a few months
Wow. That shit is wild. I said it before but the fact they are doing international breaks like this during a pandemic is fucking disgusting on so many levels.
Not sure what the timeline is for Patella Tendon but it has to be better than torn ligaments Maybe not
Every thread on Reddit about cb options to buy immediately devolves into everyone arguing about Kabak spitting at a guy. Very intellectually stimulating. Course no one has watched more than 5 games of any player we might buy so you got to argue about something.
Still hoping for a negative tests for Ali and Bobby after their Brazilian teammate tested positive the other day.
Everybody traveling abroad acting like there isn’t a fucking pandemic going on....what the fuck are we doing?
Mo was just the best man at his brother’s wedding. Quite a few pictures of him out there dancing maskless in a large group of people. This should come as a surprise to no one.
We don't have the crowd. But we got Klopp, Henderson, Mane, Gini, and Scotland's best player. Fair play to anyone who get in their way.
read that this morning and IMO that’s a diagnosis of “we qualified for the Euros and we aren’t ass holes, Robbo is sitting”
I hope so. He said post match after qualifying that his hamstring seized up and he wasn't sure how he was going to take a penalty
