fun fact... the total # of goals scored in Ligue 1 this season... was the exact same # of goals scored in Ligue 1 last season.

Listened to a Ligue1 preview podcast and man… they’re pretty much saying Nantes is a lock for relegation this year… feels bad man.

Marseille with another draw. Auba is still useless and Marcelinho should be on the hot seat. All that talent and get a win to save his life.

Lol Marseille is nothing if not entertaining.
A lot of reports stating that Longoria is no longer resigning but we will see. Sounds like Marcelinho will be linked to him going/staying.
Would be a massive blow as Longoria has been great since he arrived.
Also, really hope it’s not true about the death threats but wouldn’t be surprising knowing how crazy the Marseille ultras are.

Sounds like the threats were true but nobody has resigned yet per an official club statement.
Ligue 1 really needs to get their fan behavior under control.

The prime Hazard Lille years were so fun to follow. Crazy to think of all he accomplished at Lille considering he left for Chelsea when he was still only 21.

More awful scenes for a big game. Lyon team bus attacked by Marseille fans. Fabio Grosso all bandaged up now. Ligue 1 would have every right to give the 3 points to Lyon.
Maybe then this shit would stop.

Nantes beat Nice yesterday 1-0. Insane stat.. when Nantes scored that goal in the first half, it was the first time Nice has trailed in Ligue 1 all season.

A 31 year old Nantes fan was killed before the match in a scuffle with Nice fans. Fucking pathetic

There were a few incidents with Newcastle fans in Paris. I saw clips of what appeared to be flares thrown at/into a pub Newcastle fans were at.

It seems Marseille are finally getting their shit together this season. Auba has played pretty well over the last few weeks.

And shockingly Lyon finally won a game today. Need them to find a way to not get relegated this season.

Ligue 1 is better off with them in it. Especially, with Bordeaux and St. Ettiene getting relegated over the last few years.

Don’t follow ligue un but god damn at a 14 point gap with 12 games to go. PSG actually functional or just nobody got it together?

Don't follow it too closely, but Lyon has been a shit show all season and still in a relegation fight. Marseille has gone through two or three coaches before settling in with Gatusso. Monaco seems like they keep blowing late leads or can't turn their dominance into goals. I'm sure ucgators21 and goheels10 can go more in depth

its a combo of things. firstly, PSG is actually functional... it feels like they have more depth this year than any in recent memory and they're actually using it well.

equally as important though, the rest of the league feels bi-polar at the moment. most teams are churning and burning through managers. This morning, OM fired Gattuso, which might be their 4th manager in the last calendar year? I know Nantes has had 3 in the last 12 months and might be going to 4 soon, similar with Lyon.

Rennes and Lens had disappointing starts to the season but are starting to get things going now. I expect both to make a strong push for the UCL or Europa League spots.

Nice was close to PSG at the top until December, but now they're fading. They have played great defensively but they just can't score and it's finally catching up to them. 22 goals in 22 games.
