I went to a 4-h leadership conference in Wyoming when I was 17 and we had to stay a night in the woods relatively by ourselves. When they were preparing us for this night they went over all of the things you should do to prevent a bear attack and how to respond to it. I raised my hand and asked what we should do in case a mountain lion attacks. The counselor basically shrugged and said "I hope you had a good life." He proceeded to tell us how rare and reclusive they are to make us feel better, but the point stands. If a cougar wants to kill you, it will.
Went backpacking out west with boy scouts a long time ago. Went through the whole bear safety thing. When cougars came up, the answer was "run faster than everyone else"
Was snowmachining last winter and came across two of these. Gorgeous animals but I was not about that, fortunately they ran off into the woods. The mits on those things are insane for it's size
I think as long as they keep the tiger feed well it won't fuck with the goat. It's not like they generally kill for sport. Of course it's a wild animal so who the fuck really knows what it will do.
My best friend tried to box a bear when he was like 19 at some backwoods bar in Lewisburg, TN. Didn't go so well for him but we got a free bar tab.
Walked up on a bobcat bow hunting a little over a year ago. Was probably only 40 yards away and I felt like a stealth God. Then he/she heard me and took off. Was surprised at how small it was but gorgeous animal.
read an article on something like this about a dog and lobster or crab or something. Some video went viral about a dog who became attached to the crustacean and would defend it if the owner got too close, what the dog was really doing was protecting his future meal. now maybe they keep the tiger fed and he will never kill the goat but I would not be shocked if one day the goat is killed
Last time a tiger found himself on the receiving end of a golf club it cost him his career, half of his wealth, and two decades worth of good will.
That's not really an angles picture- That's how fucking big they are. 700 pounds on a Siberian, 500 pound Bengal... They are giants.
I usually end up killing all my outdoor cats... Ask Fudd here's a picture of a kitten after being pet by greasy sicilian user shocker
I'm Italian and those hands belong to a woman... You wouldn't know as the only thing you ever see fingering that big hairy hole you refer to as your bajingo belong to the other queens in your trailer park.
This was back in like 98. It was a small bear declawed and muzzled. If you lasted a round you got a free bar tab. My best friend was drunk enough to get talked into it. One swipe and he was out cold. Since no one else would do it they gave us a free tab anyways.
I grew up on 90 acres of woodland so me and my brothers were well versed in what to do when we encountered a cougar. We actually did have to scare one off when I was like 13 and my youngest brother was probably 7, it was just chillin our backyard. The key is to get big, DONT RUN, yell and stand your ground. The key is to make sure you see them before they start stalking you.
I just bought this book cuz of this thread. "The tiger, a true story of vengeance and survival" There was a short story and like a discovery channel show about this a few years ago. The book covers alot of other stuff, russian/soviet history, conservation etc, I forget the actual sequence, But tl dr... poor russian poacher in Kamchatka finds a fresh tiger kill, a dead pig, and takes home. Tiger gets pissed, tracks poacher and stalks around his house for a few weeks. Poacher shoots it and messes up its leg, so can't hunt. Afew days later tiger enters house and kills poacher, kills another lady a few days later, then some hotshot tracker hunts tiger down and kills it, tiger almost kills him though. Also, Amur tiger's often kill grizzly bears for food, but grizzlys win some of the battles.
