Supposedly, there is no release clause. Means we can control the situation. Worth every penny of £150,000/week.
I have so many kits of players that left (4) that I won't buy anymore until someone committed long term to us. Now that Phil is staying, I'm sure Firmino will be also. Tired of looking in my closet and seeing names of players who left.
This Is Anfield @thisisanfield CONFIRMED: Philippe Coutinho commits to Liverpool with new deal up to 2022.
We have to score first (and hopefully only us). This draws them out and opens the game for us. I could see them packing in until halftime, hoping we get frustrated and get us on a counter.
Him and Hendo in same midfield is almost as bad as when we had Hendo and Gerrard. Must score early in this half.
Frustrating game but not surprised. Southampton and West Ham - bogey teams. I think it's more likely if they think Can isn't gonna sign long term and if hey want to move Hendo further up field. Can is young but the way he's playing. Woof.
Which is why we need to sign someone (or multiple people). I'd hope FSG know this and would give a little extra to klopp. Whether or not he uses it then rests on him since he's not typically a buyer in Jan.
I thought I read he has tried to get some guys, but teams have refused to sell. He went into the not buying to buy thing shortly after that. Whether thats true or not, who knows.
That's where it comes in where are we gonna double the fees on these guys. Not my money so I say yes. But never see FSG doing that.
Teams have learned how to play us. Sit deep and hit us on the counter. We're too happy to take all of the possession and and make easy passes sidewards. Not enough creativity to break anyone down. Don't think mane would help much as there's no space for him to run into. We need to either chip more balls over the top or more overlapping runs to get players in better positions inside the box.
Had the same thought. Love him and wish he could could help us to a title but it looks bleak for him.
Can and Sturridge have been pure shitte lately. They plays/goals they've made recently have been gimmes. They've played slow, lazy, and overall unaware. Lallana and Milner were clearly hampered and hurting around the 60-75'. I get waiting but klopp sits on his subs waaaaay too much. We also should have had Firmino in the mid with Phil and Sturridge out wide.
I know Milner is sort of a cult hero but I can't help but think his inability to attack defenders one on one is really hampering us. As soon as the ball goes out wide he just lofts in a ball to their defenders. I think he's too 3 in the league at crosses attempted. His lack of pace kills us when we don't have pacey wingers. Also I agree with the sentiment Sturbridge is done. It's no coincidence we look so bad every time he starts. To me he's a 70th minute sub at this point
