To hear Klopp complain about goals conceded is starting to ring a bit hollow to me when he banished our best defender and refuses to buy an upgrade. He literally said Sanchez and Koubilay wouldn't be upgrades on what we have which is fucking madness. We need one of them and VVD. Matip is probably a 3rd choice center back on a title winner.

 

This team lacks a DM. Almost every goal we concede not from a corner would be stopped if we had a solid DM.

 

Along this line I think the shine is wearing off Hendo. He shouldn’t be playing the 6. Can could. But we, as always, need a destroyer in front of the CBs. For as bad as Lovren is now remember back to how he was at Saints when he had Wanyama in front of him.

 

That would help too but he doesn't play a true defensive mid, never has. However he has had really great center backs in the past so he knows what that looks like. To go into the season relying on Lovren and Klavan is beyond words.

 

We have the players. It's just the positioning in the back. Nobody can hold a fucking line or come out and punch. Right now it's a complete lack of confidence from the whole back five. These guys are good enough but it's just in they're heads now

 

If you really think the likes of Lovren and Klavan can win a title, you are in the same boat as Klopp

 

Nah, Lovren and Matip can take us back to top 4. I wasn't expecting a title this year at all. He needs one more window to make a legit challenge but everyone wants it right now hence the over reactions on social media

 

First of all, wrong. Second of all we could do better but he's the best we have by a large margin at that position. At the very least he can win aerial duels.

And now Matip and Lovren are both hurt... which isn't a surprise to anybody. So we are down to 2 CBs. Such a joke.

 

That makes what happened this summer even more inexplicable. Lovren in particular is always hurt. The good news is Klopp has been talking about that in the media, maybe he's fed up with it as well and will lead to buying CB's in January.

 

Lovren and Matip are fit. Just have to wait till Tuesday to hopefully see Firmino, Salah, Mane, and Coutinho finally play together like God intended.

 

I'm not happy about the last few results but man, Liverpool twitter is just a cesspool. It's like we've lost every match for the last two years.

 

How do you think Klopp would play a fully healthy squad? 4-3-3 with Firmino up top and Salah and Mane on the sides with Coutinho and Lallana at CM?

 

The "Klopp Out" people on there just blow my mind. I get being pissed about our defense situation, but that shit makes no sense to me. Our native fanbase may be the worst in the league.

 

I'd doubt we'd go that offensive unless we were down a goal late. Some combination of 2 of Gini, Can, Henderson and then maybe Ox or Milner in mid.

Lallana would be the first sub off the bench, and would start when we were resting one of Mane, Salah, or Coutinho. Though, I'd definitely play that lineup in Fifa.
