Could just be the tired legs he was facing but it seemed like Origi has been able to take on his man and force a corner any time he wants over the last few weeks
Feels like they have an extra man, we are pressed all over the field and when we break their press we still don't have numbers.
I can't remember us looking this bad. Our defense is all over the place, somehow we are stretched but at the same time not generating a lot of chances.
See I saw the score and assumed everything was going as planned. But you people are in here fretting.
I’ll take tired Spurs vs tired City instead of tired Spurs vs. walked in the park for 90 min 3 days ago City, but your point is valid.
Very pleased we won. Bring on Barca. Hoping MCU is completely out of gas for the next week or so, but they’re just so fucking deep that I’m not sure today will matter.
I know they can’t, but they turn around and play again on Tuesday. Poch could run his 11 into the ground and lose more than 3 points in the remaining games because his squad is dead. I don’t disagree with your point, I could just see him wagging his tongue at Pep like that after stealing the UCL from him and knowing he’s got to give his guys some rest at some point.
Yeah but they’re turning around and heading home to play Brighton, 17th in the league. It’s not like it’s something crazy
We’re going to play a B squad Saturday out of necessity more than anything. We can afford to drop the 3 here. The run in after is much more manageable.
Tottenham could / will roll over on Saturday out of necessity to rest their squad. With injuries, etc.. they basically only have an 11, similar to how we were in the last 4-5 games of last season. I am proud of myself for not even posting about looking ahead, but I get to say it now, Messi at Anfield is going to be a religious experience.
I don't know, I think City going out could maybe demoralize them. Or it could make them mad. Or it could have no real impact. That's all I have to say about that.
They're not dropping points regardless of CL or not. Easier to accept it now than the last game of the season.
The Suarez/Coutinho returns are going to be a nice story line too. The booing of Phil should be amazing.
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ave-ended-my-career-john-arne-riise-liverpool Craig Bellamy attacked John Arne Riise with a golf club because he was drunk and apparently an asshole. Scored against Barcelona and celebrated by pretending to swing a golf club.
