Assume we'll be back to full strength by the Leicester game, Matip fully back by Palace. I do think it'll be VVD and Fabinho at center back on Saturday. Was reminded last time we played at Brighton we played a back 3 of Can, Gini, Lovren
The rumor was loan with an option to buy for Lisbon. I don't think anything has been made official yet
Liverpool starting XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Shaqiri, Mane, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Mignolet, Milner, Keita, Moreno, Origi, Matip, Camacho.
How many counter attacks is the ref going to let Brighton deliberately stop with fouls before he gives them a yellow
After the letdown from last week, just needed to get back on the winning track and get the fuck out of Brighton.
Muller banned for both legs. www.espn.com/soccer/uefa-champions-league/story/3748279/bayerns-thomas-muller-banned-vs-liverpool-in-champions-league?src=com
Not that I watch Bayern more than 2-3 times a year but I feel like I’ve read that Muller is lumped in with the Bayern old guard who haven’t really performed the last two years like they did 2012-2016? Would we rather him be in there than James or a more industrious midfielder like goretzka? Would be interested to get the Bayern fans in here to give us some perspective on the squad. For one of the biggest 3-4 teams in the world I can’t tell you whose a regular starter outside of Lewa and the fullbacks.
Last time lost consecutive league matches: Manchester City - 1 month ago Tottenham - 4 months ago Manchester United - 5 months ago Arsenal - 5 months ago Chelsea - 10 months ago Liverpool - 40 months ago
Also did you guys see Palace lost both their keeper and back up keeper last week. Going to play a 39 year old that hasn't played soccer in over a year on Saturday.
Midfield will be some version of Keita-Henderson-Fabinho-Shaqiri. Will be interesting to see which way they go. Going to need someone with legs over on the right to help Milner deal with Zaha
